Anyone know where to buy a K31 + front sight blade?

So I bought this K31 around September, hoping to use it for deer stands inside the 100 yard range. Anyway, I'm finding that it shoots way high, while the windage is great. We're talking about a foot high, though.

Turns out is has a "minus" or "-" front sight blade and needs a "plus" or "+".

I've looked around for them but only found a "-" on gunbroker for $79 (I'm in the wrong business, boys!) Does anyone know any other places to get these sight blades?

Thanks in advance folks!

I would check on the Swiss Rifles Dot Com message board to see if anyone can help. I believe one of the forum members, "Guisan", used to sell them but he passed away unfortunately and I don't know the current status of all the parts he had(someone was trying to acquire them from the estate IRC). I believe there is actually 5 different front sight blades as I recall.

Well, you could simply drift the front sight out, have a good TIG welder build it up a bit high, then file/sand it down accordingly.

He was a very helpful and knowledgeable person on Swiss rifles.

Thanks for the help, guys. I emailed someone on that forum a month ago but that was from an old post. I'll have to make an account there and see what people have.

Seems like these things are hard to find these days.

IMO, thanks to Youtube and forums, people only began to appreciate the quality and capability of the Swiss rifles in just the past few years and demand and prices for them rose. Hence there is only a limited supply of parts around in the USA. My understanding is that these parts are easily available in Switzerland, it's just a matter of finding someone willing to sell them to you. Guisan was a good resources of these parts for Americans until he passed away.

At some point I'd like to go to the big Luzern gun show in Switzerland as I understand there are quite a few sellers there.

It has been a while but I have done just that on other rifles. Actually MIGed some height on the sight. You might mess a sight up, but it is not right anyway. Just keep welding.
