Maybe use only one shipment option?

Just ideas to simplify and I'm sure you have plenty of your own.

Carry on with all your good works.

I have a spreadsheet, and God knows I need it because the info I need comes in from a variety of channels, even for one given sale.

From now on, there will be no options for various shipping methods- it will be Media insured.

If I can get orders manageable then I may not have to go to Amazon and charge $185.

The "crowd funding" (prepay) option is there, and indeed it would allow me to use other peoples' monies to buy books. But I don't like that approach. There's too much risk. For example, I'm experiencing about 10% reject rate on the books- can you imagine how PO paid buyers would be if they had to wait six months for the next big buy. I'm going to keep it low risk for right now.

You are on the ball (I knew you were) and I'm just brainstorming in an effort to be helpful in some small way.
If nothing else, we can encourage you to "continue the fight!"

For those who reserved a copy to be signed at KCR:

If you haven't paid yet, please do so ASAP. I've received a number of Paypal payments, but only one via mail.

Thanks!

All due payments have been received except Warpo's and I'm sure he's good for it.

All books that were to be sent immediately have been sent.

Those who want them signed at KCR and sent later have books individually reserve and ready to go. Kevin is going to be very busy at night signing books.

Speaking of books, I'll have two copies of The Bren Gun Saga for sale at Knob Creek along with a bunch of other great gun and history books. If you're a book nut make sure you stop by table A6.

Wanted to go, had a ride to and from, but my ride had to cancel and not make the trip. I'd have really liked to meet you and Kev, as well as any other Files members who popped round, but this won't be the year.

Here's today's update.

All books thus far sold have been paid. I have a huge stack headed to KCR for signature. If you paid, you have a book with your name on it.

I've had serious problems with the printer- as in a 74% reject rate as of late. Still hoping for a couple last minute shipments for the public release and signing at KCR.

I have received PMs, emails, etc for future books. Some I have read, some I have not had time to because of the printing problems and preparing for Knob Creek. I recognize- and am grateful- that others want a copy of FAL Primer, and will address it when I return from KCR.

Note that I'll be online occasionally thru 4/11 and then will be offline at KCR through 4/17.

Thanks and good shooting.

I suppose this has become the defacto pecking list, so who am I to fight it?

OK, if you want a book, reply to this thread. This, of course, is not an offer to sell, it's collecting expressions of interest.

For those going to KCR, see ya there. Table A6.

All prepaid books signed by Kevin as of one minute ago. They now sit next to a gorgeous Cuban kit and Lithgow vickers kit. Will be shipped after return from KCR.

We’ll be at table a6 tomorrow for book release and signing.

Thanks gang!

NO BOOK FOR YOU! Just kidding. Email it to me at TheFALprimer email address. You're an easy one to track.

Because, my friend, you didn't read... That is the RESERVE list for those that wanted books but I could not yet fulfill the order. YOUR book shipped yesterday.

AH-SO!

Well, I did read...just didn’t understand?
Anyway, look forward to checking it out and adding it to the FAL Library!

Haha...who knows, media rate to Alaska may get here faster than Priority?

Thanks,

Several eager buyers have asked where their books are.

From post #83:

All books that were presold and awaiting signature from both authors were signed at KCR and SHIPPED TODAY.

That was yesterday, meaning your book shipped yesterday. Four were USPS Priority. The rest went USPS Media.

El Warpo, thanks for the addy reminder, your book will ship today or latest tomorrow.

Abominog am I correct that there are three signed copies that are not reserved/spoken for? If so, I would like one. If not, please put me on the list for future purchase when available.
