It appears their website is back up and operational. Maybe they just updated their website and that is why it was offline ... ???

Not working again. Seems the problems persist.

Works for me. Front page:

Coonan Inc. wants to reach out to our loyal customers and dealers…
Coonan Inc. is NOT GONE!

Due to contractual obligations, we have been unable to discuss the big changes that are happening.

We sincerely apologize for the lack of communication. This process has taken far longer than we had anticipated, but there have been a lot of things going on behind the scenes. We have been working very hard to restructure the company in ways that will allow us to serve our customer’s needs better and faster. These changes will also allow us to pursue even more exciting new projects.

While obstacles can pop up easily during this type of transition, we do hope to have things up and running by the end of November. Once we have completed the process, we will contact our customers with delivery dates on orders for pistols, FAL receivers, and accessories.
Thanks again. We truly appreciate your patience!

Yeah, working again.

No matter, ever since they adopted their devil may care FU warranty policy on their receivers, the only one's I'll ever own will be on rifles someone else built.
Until I sell them.

This outfit took peoples money and did not provide the goods.

This outfit that took peoples money, and did not say anything, and now post up, maybe in three weeks we will "try" and full fill orders, maybe, if nothing else happens???????

If this was a carny show, the people would be arrested.

Get your money back, if you can, and count yourself lucky.

Not related to FAL receivers but I placed an order for aluminum Coonan grips for my new .357 pistol in September. I have emailed numerous times no response, and calls go to voice mail. Looks like i'm out $100.

It seems they are in the mist of a filed for protection from creditors... Chapter 11 clusterfuck. The court gets sticky sometimes in approving the reorganization.
Might be best to hold on to your money until the dust settles. Funding preorders at this time may be risky.

Coonan ended as a viable source for receivers the moment they adopted their “AS IS” policy.

I have 3 metric & 1 inch Coonans from about 5 years ago, and all built nicely. Inch is a bit paricular on which mags it prefers to seat easily, but other than that all has been good. A shame.

That's said.

Probably 15+ years ago I bought both DSA'S and coonans.
The Coons were better receivers at the time, cheaper too as I recall.

Still have a few of each unbuilt. Way things are going it's financially smarter NOT to build them!

Same here!

I'm downsizing, sent four this week to new homes, got a couple more moving out this weekend.

Got an Argy kit, front end from GP/Mark, all pretty, Coonan type two, might be time to lay it out and slap a price for whole package on it or hold a bit longer and watch the market.

Dims are making gun noises again with the House, panic time for some, if history repeats.

With the recent post by Coonan, I'm reminded of what Moses did. He also promised to fill orders just as soon as_________ fill in the blank. Time will tell if Cooonan delivers or goes the route Moses did.
