Enterprise gun, worth it for the parts?

Would it be worth it to kit out an Enterprise FAL. Put the parts on a better receiver. Know a guy who wants to trade this for one of my light weight guns.

That really depends on a lot of factors. Top being What parts make up the kit? L1A1? Metric? Which receiver it is built on?

You haven't provided any information from which to base a decision.

Pictures would be best.

So.. The rifle doesn't run now or you just want a different receiver? If that's the case I'll give you 100 bucks for that receiver right now.

Really, A little better description of the rifle in question would be helpful.

You could get it to run?

Here in New Mexico we don't have FAL's that don't run.

I'm just saying.

So far 4 response to my question, zero answers.
No I am not going to sell any of you the receiver.
I have not had a look at it yet, it is a type3, German/Austrian kit, metric mag, Dsa top cover. Have not shot it, won't get a chance to shoot it. Old guy who likes my Rem700 Mountain rifle and thinks the fal is too heavy for a hunting gun.

Once again, you still have not really given enough information for one to give an educated opinion. The kit you have for the first time described, sounds decent. Condition? Just ballparking it could be worth anywhere from I would think $500 to $800 for the kit. Receiver $600 ish for a known good ABNI one. Crappy POS entreprise metric......paper weight.

Mountain rifles start at what $850......plain...no scope no nothing? So if it is a super kit chuck full of excellent German and Austrian parts....that is a solid maybe......

I'll take the crappy Entreprise "paperweight" and turn it into a well functioning rifle - I've done it more than a few times. If you decide the receiver you end up with isn't to your liking, my offer still stands.

Well without being able to inspect it, I would say nothing. Is the barrel rusty or shot out? Leaking gas block? You get the idea.

You really need more info to get a good answer.

But if you want an answer, I would value it anywhere from $100 to $10,000. Of course that is all depended on condition, and a few other things I have failed to detail.

Good luck with you deal.

Entreprise was also offering Imbel receivers on builds, when the STG kits were available

True dat. Never seen an Entreprise that could not be made to run, unlike the recent DSA fatal flaw offerings. I would also be interested in receiver if you decided to part out.

we need more info than just "enterprise receiver" to answer your question. some enterprise receivers are better than others, and some are 94' pre-ban, which means something in terms of cash value.

a better description of all markings, or a picture showing them would be nice.

Nonetheless you disgust me, and I take comfort in the knowledge that your obituary will be nowhere near as humorous as mine.

The next time I hear "THE RANGE IS NOW HOT", it just wont be the same.

Max tried another question. "What sort of people live about here?"
"In THAT direction," the Jin said, waving its right paw round, "lives a Han: And in THAT direction," waving the other paw, "lives a Ming Hare. Visit either you like: they're both mad."
"But I don't want to go among mad people," Max remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Jin: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Max.
"You must be," said the Jin, "or you wouldn't have come here."

Why don't you instead, explain to him how inherently dangerous all semi auto rifles are? I mean if you remove the safety and pull the trigger it will "go bang" and launch a projectile at a very high rate of speed.

Kinda unsafe/dangerous.

Just sayin'...

The answers you got were more useful than your original post.

"German/Austrian kit" ???? Mixture of both ? Don't know which ? Makes a bit of difference.

Apparently, since we are not mind readers and have not summoned forth answers from the vacuum, the OP has turned to other sources of wisdom

got the gun, pretty nice, imbel receiver, steyr kit, will need the correct muzzle device, and some real mags, only had 1 blocked/riveted 7 rd mag. looks like it has not been butchered to make it work.

That is the information that was needed to properly answer your question. Sounds like you probably did just fine.
