M/D Frozen Nutz Shoot 01/26/2013

All,
Time has come to pick a date for the winter shoot. The dates I have in mind are Jan 19 or Jan 26. What say you? At this time there is about 12-16 inchs of snow on the road leading into the property. Haven't broken a trail in yet. Might have to see about plowing, if we get more snow. But that is in the future. As always camping is your option.

All,
Was at the property on Sat and made it in 2WD. Some ice and packed in snow on the road. Fire wood level is low, and we might need to cut some for the day. (my chain saw is broken, if someone brings one it would be a big help) I'm going to make pulled pork or chile for all, haven't decided which yet. If anyone was planning on bringing chile or soup, say so, so I don't make the same thing.

All,

It's been cold (sub 0 wind chill) with about 3-4 inch of snow. Should still be able to get in with a 2WD unless we get more snow on Friday as there calling for. Sound like some wood and chain saw are covered. Talked with the local cop, and there should be no trouble unless the neighbor starts some. Decide to make chile, being it's going to be so cold. Till later.

Shooting starts around 10:00 depending on how much

is drank on Friday night. Sounds like Deltaten and Justashooter are not going to make it after all. As for the weather, we got a few inch's of snow last night, and we are getting close to 20 degrees during the day. Looks like it will be cold on Sat. (not like the worst weather we have had at the winter shoot).

Another great shoot Roger! "Frozen Nuts" lived up to its name for a change. If anyone went away hungry, it was their own fault. The chilli and soup hit the spot on a cold day.

Want to thank everyone for making this a safe and fun shoot. It was good to see old friends and make a few new ones. As always, the food, fire and friendship was good. Sorry, for those that wanted to make it, but couldn't.
