When will we replace that death trap? While I see the allure of the design, if it can not be manufactured to function safely, why continue to field it? Oh wait, that's right, defense contract funding at work.

Blackhawks came after I got out. A mates two oldest sons are Warrents flying rotaries, they told me the Hawk is the loudest air frame in Army Aviations' inventory. They'll be retiring in a few years, when they're home to stay we'll be putting down a bit of good whiskey to be sure.

Prayers for the families...

I actually saw my first in person osprey a few weeks ago,,as it entered and zipped around the perimeter of a cove on KY lake where we were hanging...
Not sure where it would have been from and kool as hell,,but loud is an understatement...
When it first entered,,,I looked UP,,,thinking one of those flying dumpsters with a palm tree on each side from Campbell was falling right on top of us....

Sitting on our dock on the edge of Hurlburt and watching ospreys hold onto air as they roll down the coastal water way is great. They dont look like they should be flying though. ..BUFF would fit them

RIP Marines. Best wishes to the families
