AR Mag question

OK y'all

I know S. F. A. about these black plastic contrivances.

Where in heck can one obtain new metal Colt mags and be semi sure I'm getting new ones? As on 30 round mags, not the neutered style.

A half dozen will be fine with me, sir. An Officer and a Gentleman sold me an AR and now I need to find an ammunition feed device. Box magazines are I highly overrated. I much prefer belt fed.

I probably have a stray or two but not half a dozen. I would suggest you might PM 308shooter in WY. He has had some nice batches in the past. Good guy too.

Got it, Thanks, but if you had a stray or two of course I'd send some green you8r way in exchange for some steel...

44mag.com has Okay Industries 20 round GI aluminum mags. $12.99 with free shipping. They also have 30 rounders, not sure if they are GI though.

I have 5 or so here that are colt

I used to buy a PMAG or 2 before I gave my SIL my only 223 AR. I got another AR a few months ago and like the metal ones better cuz they drop out easier

Arms Unlimited has Colt magazines. 30 and 20 rounders.

For about half the price, I buy Okay Industry surefeed magazines which are OEM I believe.

Old Colt marked mags were made by OKay or Adventure Line.
I have a bunch of Colt marked 20's and 30's from when I was at Bragg in the 80's. Bought a bunch of OKay's and Adventure Line's and Sanchez marked ones also.

Do they have to be new? I have tons of GI mags, mix of Okay, Center, Sanchez, Brownells, and a few Colt marked (but probably made by some other contractor, as they say). A few new ones in the bag, lots in good to excellent shape, and a few well worn but functional. Most have green followers. A few tan followers, a few black followers.

I don't know where you're at, but if you ever come through Waco area I'll get you all you can use at an extremely fair price.
