In other words, they put their lies in writing this time.

Built another one this week. LS hole significantly undersize (meaning they did not do as they claimed in your note). It's The Chicago Way.

It was otherwise pretty good. Dustcover is hitting at 2 o'clock, like on the F type 1s. Gonna mess with it more to make sure it isn't the cover. Have a few NOS HKs.

Then I got an SLR receiver in yesterday. Going to need significant machining for a mag to fit. Just like all the others. (sigh). DSA screws their customers again, and I get to fix it.

SLR 093. I don't know the history. It has the same obvious defects (took 5 seconds to test) as ones above and below it's number. At least I know how to correct them. Saves customer from sending back to DSA, only to have them return after months, claiming it's fixed, while the gunsmith "Probably never looked at"* (it's the Chicago Way).

I ordered mine the same day and it has not showed up yet. The guy told me it shipped, but the big bad snowstorm may be holding it up. Has to be over by now, right?

Hmmm, Tweek-ak. I should have called them first. I called just now and they informed me, that they did not have enough heat treated and had to send more to be HT and will get them back sometime next week and then will have to parkerize them and then start filling our orders. Soooooo, another 2 to 3 weeks....... maybe?

LOL, that is what I asked. They said they were already made, but would not send them ALL to heat treatment, until enough orders were made to warrant the cost. Sounds logical from their point of view, but not helping me. Good thing I just bought it to have a receiver to possibly build a Frankenfal one day.

Certification to ISO 9001:2015

Checking that the system works is a vital part of ISO 9001:2015. It is recommended that an organization performs internal audits to check how its quality management system is working. An organization may decide to invite an independent certification body to verify that it is in conformity to the standard, but there is no requirement for this. Alternatively, it might invite its clients to audit the quality system for themselves. (iso.org)
Absolutely. And any certificate that doesn't have an ANAB certified third party auditor/auditing company sign off is worth the paper that it's printed on. Actually less, because blank paper has positive value.

By the way, those of us that maintain QA systems that are accredited to API and ISO 9001:2015 find that s41t adorable.

HI guys, I purchased one of these receivers for my first FAL build. I just discovered this thread and am now quite concerned that my receiver may be out of spec.

As I have no other fal parts yet, just the receiver, is there any particular measurements I can take to see if its good to go or not? I have a dial caliper, depth mic.

From what I gather from the thread, if the locking shoulder holes measure within .2655-.2670 , they should be good?

Got mine! First build so stumbling along, but barrel is on. Don't have any pin gages or locking shoulders yet. Looks good so far.
