Boston proposes state law requiring doctors to ask about guns in homes

The Red Flag laws continues to mutate..If the liberals have their way, in 10 years gun owners may need to have a bar code tatooed on your neck visible to the world to identify that you are a registered gun owner:

part of the story:

Boston proposes state law requiring doctors to ask about guns in homes

Health care providers would be required to play a larger role in addressing gun violence, and more drug offenders could receive treatment instead of punishment, as part of legislation that Mayor Martin J. Walsh plans to push on Beacon Hill this year.

Walsh administration officials said Wednesday that they will ask lawmakers to approve a bill requiring doctors to ask patients about guns in their homes to help identify risks of suicide and domestic violence.

“This is a great way for the medical field to help identify any red-flag issues,” Boston Police Commissioner William Gross said in a briefing with reporters. “It’s to put another tool in the physician’s belt to help out the victims.”

Some health care providers already ask patients about their safety, but this kind of screening is not required by law.

“We’ve lost a number of patients to gun violence,” said Phillomin Laptiste, executive director of Bowdoin Street Health Center in Dorchester.

Doctors kill about 20X as many people as guns via malpractice.

Just another "demonize before destroying" move.

Paint who you want as dangerous, odorous, not normal, then its far easier to destroy them later on.

Boston, dimwits are following an ages old playbook, and so far, they are succeeding.

What is the penalty for lying to doctors? They lie to you all the time.

So, if a doctor fails to report a head-case who then goes and shoots up a school/theater/church/train station, are we going to charge the doctor as an accessory to 1st degree murder? Or perhaps for conspiracy to commit terrorism?

real sociopaths never telegraph intent. doing so might interfere with the objective.

sadists telegraph to vicariously experience the fear in a victim that they are incapable of feeling, themselves.

The next time I hear "THE RANGE IS NOW HOT", it just wont be the same.

Max tried another question. "What sort of people live about here?"
"In THAT direction," the Jin said, waving its right paw round, "lives a Han: And in THAT direction," waving the other paw, "lives a Ming Hare. Visit either you like: they're both mad."
"But I don't want to go among mad people," Max remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Jin: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Max.
"You must be," said the Jin, "or you wouldn't have come here."

Yep. Don't worry about the guy who runs his mouth. Much scarier are the ones that don't.

I would have to say that those turds in Boston have ID'ed themselves as dangerous, odorous, and not normal. People should seriously take notice.

I can't imagine my doc even asking that question.

The wife and I were at a new doctor this week (just found out she's expecting, yipee!)

The last question on the patient intake form was "do you have access to firearms in your home". She gave me a nudge and pointed at the question while rolling her eyes.

Saw the same thing one of my Dr.'s forms two years ago. I failed to comply. Registration lady said, "Sir, you missed a question."
I said, "Oh, which one?"
She said, "The last one."
I said, "Oh, let me see that."
She handed the clipboard back to me. I reread the last question. Then I handed it back to her and said, "Nope, I read it. Call me when the Dr. is ready to see me." Handed the clipboard back and went to wait my turn. She got the point.
