Foundation for next projects.

Took these off during a re-barreling project for a friend yesterday.

Nipped one to 17" and the other to 17.75 and re-crowned.
One was a GI profile MK14 and the other Bula NM . Both guaged less than 0 so I just couldn't file 13 them like most.
Now I have to pick up a couple more XM21 receivers for the idea.

Looks good. I'v been wanting a snappy shorty again. All my current builds are full length. I have plenty of parts, but I've been reluctant to buy another receiver, don't want it to cut into my CNC mill budget.

I enjoy projects. At the moment I have M14s in 16", 18.5 , 19.5 , 20 , and 22". Just makes sense to me to fill in the blanks with the 17" and 17.75.

Got the 17 inch standard profile purring today with M118. Not a particular fan of red dots, but this one just called out to sit on an XM21 with carbon fiber stock. I think I have a new off hand rifle that even I can handle.
