Jealous. Haven't been in the snow for 20+ years.

Me too, my last sled was a '96 670 Ski-Doo Summit. Rolled chain case and 2.25" x136" paddle track. High altitude pipe and a semi gutted muffler with a custom valve plate. Miss the sled but not the bills.
That didn't include the 4x4 dually crewcab and 4 place trailer.

I thought you said in an earlier post that you sold the motorhome and were looking for something else.

Change of plans????

We thought we sold it. The Idaho hippies never came back to get it. the other offers were so stupidly loball that we decided to keep it and improve it. We will never get our money back out of it... But oh well, it's comfy and makes the trip to Dave's quite well. I'm working on an invertor, LED light fixtures, and some other good stuff.

Have you decided where to put the ring mount?

Were the hippies from Santa?
Think they are the last.

Ok, back to this dirt work thing... How many of you thought the dual station thing we did on the team shoot last fall worked well or not. Seem to me like it gave each team more time to make their "nest" without cutting into the overall time of the event. Just askin' to get some idea of where the dirt is going.

One improvement I can think of, is the prone sighting during the team shoot on the left side. That little rise makes it hard to see the targets fully. It's either that or a hang over, but any advantage I can get would be stellar.
And yes, the dual station worked well, it did seem to speed things up a bit.

Were going to build up the left side a few feet to raise the targets and cut down the right side to lower them and make it easier to level things out. And have the option to do it all from one station.

I have always envisioned a leveled right hand side with
a 90 degree corner at the 200 yard mark going north.

Dirt could be piled behind that to maybe minimize
on anything going over the berm.

And when I win the lottery, big ass pole barn to get out of the wind.

I was trying to get down there late Friday but it looks like Saturday morning is what it is. Don't get eaten by the Coyotes.

Due to an updated forecast of snow and high winds this weekends festivities have been canceled. Bummer deal, but does anybody want to be miserable? We will reschedule for a better weekend.

Hope Robin isn't already on his way. Knowing him, he won't be stopped by such silliness as wind or snow. He'll arrive, glowing red in the face like ole St. Nick himself, and have his own private camp out. More likely though, he'll be pounding on the door to Daves' shop, looking for heat, a stogie, and the single malt. Oh to be young and tough once more, rather than the broken down old sod I've become.

Bummer, but on the plus side, he'll be too busy unloading to do any chores about the home.

I've been in stealth mode recently with work, but if this is being rescheduled, me and Tom might be able to come over and help. I'll keep an eye out.

I was wondering??

"The Spring Shoot" sounds a bit mundane...

I believe an event of such stature need have a title befitting its importance!

My first thoughts naturally centered toward something like;

"Brush511's FAL Shoot"...

"The Brush511 Spring Invitational"....

A title befitting our prestigious benefactor is most appropriate IMHO!

But then my mind went completely off the rails...................How about.......

"The GordonM1 battered bag Memorial shoot"...

I think it sings...

Hey Robin. Is that your burned out trailer sitting in the middle of I-5 with a big pile of burned junk behind it near MP 65 between Portland and Seattle??

Just kidding. Do you know what is going on with that burned out trailer?

Just curious.

Hey, Terry.

Hey you all. Hoping to make the work party - even if we can't shoot this spring time this year.

Truck lost control on Wednesday morning around 3 am. Passed it while it was burning on my way to deliver block material to Gresham mutual materials. Jackass tried running the left lane up the hill to get around cars, left lane was solid ice, which was why no one was in it. Hit the barriers and burst into flames. Probably dropped his bong on a fuel leak. Cleanup is taking it's sweet time because of the cold, and to cost the sob as much money as possible in hopes he can't get another truck.

Unfortunately, if he's Russian, Mexican, wears a towel on his head, or Somali, the government will write it all off and give him a free Volvo. If he's white, he's fugged.

Free Volvo... I think Ritchie Bros. is going to be selling off a sh!tton of worn out Haney trucks, mostly Volvos. Those should go cheap. I had two '86 Haney Volvos that were good for holding up the front of a trailer, $2800 in 2002. I doubt they would have amused the DOT guys.

My vote is for the 12v71 Plate Bang Invitational

Then we've got the World Famous Brush511 Fall FAL Shoot.

Well, the workparty reschedule is for March 10. Might have a bit of wind minus the snow.
