I would like 2 of the 20 round mags.

I would also be very interested in 25 rounders if they are produced.

Stuff like this is exactly what capitalism and america is all about! No one is offering a product that at least some people want? A small business owner comes along and scrapes together the money and sticks it to the big boys like DSA who can't seem to make a fal mag that works.

The scar 17 mag making definitely isn't worth the investment now, but with the reviews it typically gets from people who own one (like gunplumber), I bet the market to make money off of the mags will be there in a couple more years providing FN doesn't flood the market with mags by then.

Just got back from the molders around midnite tonite and picked up the revised mags and all the revisions I had made came out great!!!! Even better than I ever expected!!!

From initial tests the mags are functioning flawlessly by hand cycling!!!!!!!! To say I am extremely happy would be a gross understatement!!!!!!!!!

Sweet! Looking forward to some more function videos, and if you have a red-headed step-child FAL to abuse with your new mags, we'd love to see that too!

Seeing this much attention and pride you're giving them is very admirable. This, ladies and gents, is the process.

Design. Refine. Divine.

Good question!!!!

After I test and test and torture test and then approve them, they will then have to machine the logo's and info on the molds.
That is the final process in the manufacturing of the molds and they will then be complete.
Assuming the mold company can do the engraving for the logo's etc. in house and don't have to send them off to have it done I am thinking probably 2 weeks after final approval.

We are almost there boys!!!!!

I might do a presale on the falfiles once I know the mag is ready for production and I approve it.

A suggestion for Mr. Moses.

Put your first dozen or so up for auction on eBay and let folks bid for them to be "first!"

Should put a good dent in recouping your costs.

if you haven't already you might want to hire some part time help-

paid orders
order fulfillment and shipping
etc, etc, etc.

Nah...FAL is an evil assault rifle, and these are high cap mags only used by criminals, so eBay won't allow it (at least the last time I checked.)

Gunbroker might be a better choice...

...of course the best choice is let us by a crap-load first!

Might also consider giving a couple to one of the guys on m4carbine.net (maybe Templar or Todd.k) for some test and evaluation. They'll run 'em hard and post an honest evaluation. If they like them you'll probably get a good bit of business from that site. They like top quality gear and aren't afraid to spend money.

Of course, if they don't like them they won't be afraid to tell people they suck. We'll still love you, though. :-)

Have you tryed these in any of the various .308 mag pouches to see how the fit is? Just wondering as to how loose or tight they are as compared to a standard FAL mag.

Still is for a 5 pack.
Keep up the good work.

If you read some earlier pages we discussed the mag pouch fit.
I have the Canadian 2 mag fal pouches and my mags fit 2 in the pouch.
The base is really the only part that is significantly bigger than an original mag but that really gives a good grip for grabbing the mag out of the pouch.

I will hire help as needed to get the product out once I get to that point.

Will be testing the new version of the moses mag with live fire this week!!!!

Yes one mag will fit with plenty of room in the M4 mag pouches!!!!!!

Cozmacozmy, was kind enough to donate a few M4 mag pouches for me to test the fit.

If you are getting into the mag business, you might also want to consider some 5.45 mags for the AR-15 later on. I know that's something people are kind of itching for, especially considering the whole C-products thing. There is no other source for them.

Just a thought.

Rambozo, I think that is a good idea!!!
Not only is C products up in the air right but now no has ever made a Polymer AR 15 mag for 5.45X39.

And I will need them for my S&W 5.45 AR and the 5.45 Daewoo I will be making soon!!!!

Mags are working great!!!!
However I am making one more revision on the mold.

The mags work great as is and function flawlessly in the gun but I don't want to settle for anything less than perfect about every aspect of the mag.

We are almost there and it's gonna be worth the wait!!!!

Here is another test video of me shooting the Moses mag in the dealer sample FAL. Also this was taken at dusk and I have a 3 pronged Hurricane lite flashider on the FAL. There is a tiny fireball about 8 inches in front of the barrel but it wasn't there during the day or on a semi FAL.

Dimensions were not quite what I had wanted on the rear feed lips, like I said before the mags work great the way they are but I want to get the dimensions exactly where I want them before I sign off on the final approval of the molds.

While it may not seem like a difficult project, you would not believe how involved it actually is to make a working mag out of polymer, or out of steel for that matter just ask the Koreans or DSA!!!!
Molds are very intricate, high tolerance, no room for error works of art!!!!

You go, man. Obviously you want to get it right from the start. It will be worth it.

I'm in for more than 10. As many as 30 depending on price, etc.

Peace.

Someone asked you earlier if you might consider 545x39 mags for the AR 15.

Would such also fit in a Bulg AK 74 and the Saiga 545??...(their mags are interchangeable)

thanks, tb
