Where did all the interesting Nagant revolvers go?
It seems like six months ago I was running into lots of interesting Nagant revolvers. Now all I am seeing are heavily import marked refurbs. Are 1895 Nagants getting more popular, or is this just coincidence?

Probably a natural progression towards the "bottom of the barrel".
BUT ! Every time this has occurred so far in the former USSR, with Mosin rifles anyway, some, previously unknown stash, has been rolled out from somewhere. Goodness knows how much hardware must have been squirreled away after WW II and during the Cold War in warehouses, armories, salt mines, etc. |

Just got a 1936 dated Tula from J&G Sales, I was hoping for a discrete import mark but no luck.......stands out like a billboard.

To clarify, I was talking more about non-refurbished, non-import marked nagants. They do turn up now and then, but it's been dry lately.
Not to say any version isn't fun to own and shoot. |
