MSAR STG-556 - Receiver Crack - Is it repairable?

I have an MSAR which appears to have experienced an energetic disassembly. The aluminum around the barrel shaft has been cracked. I know the barrel locks in on the lug which is cracked so I am wondering if this is repairable or is the receiver toast and the rifle is now a parts gun. If repairable do you have any suggested gunsmiths who can weld aluminum and make the repairs? Thank you in advance....

I'm going to guess it's scrap, and add that I bet that was exciting for the operator!

Doing a google search, I found that cracks fairly common in that area. If that is so, then I cannot see any welding repair being a permanent fix, just a temporary one. I believe this to be a problem that needed to be handled by the manufacturer. Good Luck.
