I used to go there every couple of months. Nothing special about it. Lot's of crazies on the highways and some nights chopper circling looking for a gang banger. I was offered and job there and declined immediately.

Property is expensive so is gas. Other than that, everything else is about the same.

It can be hot this time of year. Seems like the people there no more or less crazy than the other "big" city I know well enough for the comparison; San Francisco.

My favorite shooting range is SacValley Shooting Center, just a few miles south of Sacramento, in Ione.

The farther you go out the better land you can get.

Decent fishing on both American /Sacramento rivers. Lots of resovoirs. Fresh foood all over.

Feel free to pm/ send your phone number and I will answer any questions you may have. Im a licensed real estate broker. Sacramento County is a shall issue now... so I am 6 years this December of carry a pistol daily. )

Placer/ El Dorado county will issue too. Do not go to Yolo county if ccw is strong interest to you.

Don't come behind enemy lines! We are not in retreat, but have them cornered all around us.

Well it has a nickname of Crapremento, or my favorite of its nicknames excramento, aka excremento!

And on top of that all the crooked politicians congragate there.

And if that isn't enough it's in a communist state that's governor moonbeam wants and is doing everything he can to create a sanctuary state for the benifit of the illegal alien scum.

If I were living outside of this shithole state I would do my best to avoid moving here.

CA still is Golden if you have the means.

There is a reason it is still number 1 most populous state.

This is not a bash the state thread so go suck an egg.

Nice areas: Roseville, Rocklin, Folsom, El Dorado Hills, to a lesser degree Elk Grove.

Areas to avoid: South Sacramento (especially along the I-99 corridor), parts of Orangevale, parts of Rancho Cordova, Rio Linda, Citrus Heights, and the Arden Mall.

Sac Valley shooting center is an excellent outdoor range, but its 45 minutes outside Sacramento.

This time of year is a bit warm, with an afternoon delta breeze generally kicking in around 5PM.

You will.need to be atleast about 3,200 feet for snow level. I live at 75 ft asl. Its 100 miles to summit of Sierra Nevadas about 7,500 ft

Its hard to beat the views from down here in God's Vegetable garden....green as far as you can see....then snow capped mountains.

Both air bases are closed here, but ANG flies Blackhawk s out of Mather AFB. CAL Fire is based now out of MCCLELLAN. ..its cool to see thenwide variety of tankers. ..DC 9's/10'! Rotaries with jet pods.. cool stuff during summer months. Cool if its not your foothills burbing down though.

Have a looksee at the chart below, according to the chart it is not the worst (most liberal, lowest in freedoms) but it's deff one of the worst when it comes to level of personal freedoms and since you are from New Mexico, one of the freest and slightly to the right of California in political idology.

From my POV farther right is better as is higher on the chart top to bottom and a smaller circle is also better.

So you are in a better place NM than California in just about all aspects.

My suggestion is don't come here, as if you like your freedom that is.

Did they ever drop you off up in the hills off the American River, kind of outsode Placerville /Hangtown? Friend has a property right on Slab Creek Reservoir. In the years past whirly birds wpuld come through the narrow canyon and drop some folks off in the forest to "camp".

We are just like every othrler area with a larger city. Lots of soft heads full of mush, then out in the farmlands or hills its hippies or hillbillies.

808, talk to your countrymen. Tell them to stay out of Texas, ok?

They're turning Texas into a copy of Cali.

Wo...wo...wo..

Im born raised here. This state has increased in population for last 50 years. Stop sending all the fruit and nuts here! The majority of the population here ....is not native. Invasive species.

If we had global warming the big blue s holes on the coast would eliminate a large portion of soft skulls.

Mostly illegal immigration from before the 90's Reagan did a lot in making it happen. He was duped by the libs.

Damn Terry did you HAVE to go there? She's the reason the facepalm emoji was invented. BHO has to signal so that he didn't break her neck when he changed directions. She's an idiot representing a horrible area of town full of people she's managed to keep too uneducated to know what she's doing to them. Keeps them hanging on the gub'ment teat she happily whips out for them at the mere cost of yet another vote.

I'm happy to report though she's vastly outnumbered, especially at the state level.

OP take a look in your safe and figure out how many guns, magazines, etc you'll have to alter, be rid of or whatever, then consider a move eastward. Cali was meant to be a place to visit.
