SARCO 1911 mags

I received 3 of the new SARCO 1911 magazines that they claim to be making in house or at least on their own tooling.
The 3 that I received are good looking magazines and appear to be of very good quality. They are all free fall from 3 of my COLT 1911s, all lock the slide to the rear, and hold 7 rds. The blued finish appears to be well applied and durable.
I hope to carry them to the range tomorrow and give them a work out. I took pics of them next to factory COLT magazines for visual comparison.

They look good, Interested in hearing how they function at the range.

I have not had a single malfunction in 315 rds fired. (This is ammo fired through the original 3 mags purchased)

SARCO had a smokin' deal on their 1911 mags so I bought 50 more. I now have 2 USGI 30cal ammo cans filled with 50 loaded 1911 mags each. I keep one each in my trucks so that when an unexpected opportunity to get some range time arises, I can just go and when I get there I spend my time shooting rather than repeatedly jamming 3 or 4 mags.

I am very pleased with these SARCO 1911 mags.

There is a bit of a "scratchy" feel to the followers as they are being loaded, but I get the same thing from the genuine Colt mags too. I took a few followers out and gave the edges a good smoothing with fine grit paper. It eased that scratchy feeling a bit, but since it doesn't really improve the function, and I have 50, I have decided to skip it and just live with the scratchy feeling.

I have around 30 of these. I've fired a good 35,000 to 40,000 rounds through them in the past couple years. I have had only one fail so far but at 8 bucks I just threw it out and moved on.
