They look and feel robust. What is the graffiti on the lower handguard?~ss

The Yugo rifles are pretty damn robust. I have one of the Mitchell M-90 rifles in 7.62x51 along with the scope and proper mount. Had the Zrak scope for a long time, but the mounts are scare as hens teeth. It's a heavy rifle and pleasant to shoot. The scope is cammed for 8mm, but it is close enough for the 7.62 round to use. Only issue is the cost of magazines. If you lose one, you will cry.

The rifle is a solid 10 lbs but shoots like a dream.
Has the soldiers name and date on the left side of the front handguard.
The guys in the units names on the right.
Zagreb 5 VIII 1990 on the bottom

This one, built by Sledgehammer, belonged to an old friend, now deceased.

Yep, she's a looker all right. Sadly, my friend was killed in a truck accident in August. I guess he still owned it at that time; his sister and brother-in-law cleaned out his safe and rounded up his guns to sell. I have no idea now what became of this Yugo.

Get over to the AK Files and search the Zastava M77 there was a guy that was making mags for them. I have a few and they are built like a tank. Initially I was using converted Galil mags designed to use blanks. They work good too. I converted a couple of the ZRAK scope mounts to picatinny with more rail over the ejection port to relocate the scope more forward for eye relief and run a Valadada IOR on mine.

I really do like the Valdada IOR scopes.
I run an IOR M2 on my Bulgarian AK 74.

The problem with the mounts for the Mitchell rifles is that they do not use the same dovetail as the Zrak mount. It's different enough that the standard Zrak mount will not work.

Thanks for the input on the magazines.

The IOR scopes are as robust as the Yugo rifles. You could club somebody with one and still use it.

This used to be a good source for Zrak stuff. The website is still up, but I don't know if he will answer the phone. Used to be a nice guy to talk to.
