Some airsoft AK's were made and imported into the US and Canada with real 3 hole AK receivers(till the batfuggers caught on). If you had one, it will be a very easy kit built...

I do understand that chairsoft is a massive headache for LE and frankly I'm surprised more people don't end up getting drawn on and shot by LE.
I was up in the woods on BLM a few years ago and ran into a chairsoft guy all camo'd out lurking alongside the road with an A4 replica.......not very fkn smart.
If my kid were to take up airsoft I would be explicitly clear that he NEVER play around in an area where he could be mistaken by LE.

It's not so much the firing pins, although fixed firing pins are easier in some ways. They do add some issues though with timing.

The reason semi-autos are a pain is you now have to design an escapement, and that introduces all sorts of fun timing issues to play with.

Now that you mention it, I am also surprised we don't hear about more airsoft guys getting detained/drawn on/shot. Maybe the LEO are more tolerant than many of us think.

There are a bunch of videos of people converting airsoft guns by switching out the bolt and getting a magazine for real ammo. Videos of these kids shooting them too.

Legit or not, you wouldn't catch me squeezing the trigger on one of those.

Live rounds through toys? No sir

When some kid gets his face blown off by a toy AK or G3... oh man is it gonna be a shit storm

pretty much all of it is fake. Thats why I was saying legit or not. I wasn't too sure to begin with because I've never even touched an airsoft gun. Well you guys know that we do have a Machine Gun Ban in place. I don't like MG ban either, but since it is in place, the Feds have to do their jobs.

This video is a couple of years old, and I looked more into it awhile back. What happened was an Airsoft Dealer got a very nice shipment of his gun seized by the ATF, and he wanted someone to pay him back for lost revenue. I forgot the amount, but I think it was close to $100,000.

Supposedly, the lowers on these Air Soft guns were full functioning in spec M16 Lowers. That is right, just put on a real deal AR upper with a M16 BCG, and bam! You now have a Full Auto AR.
