FAL Rifle, IMBEL Receivers and Magazines

Offered for sale is a DSA FAL rifle, two NOS IMBEL Receivers and 24 magazines. Pictures to follow. Please feel free to PM is you have any questions.

1) DSA STG 58 Austrian FAL Carbine. DSA manufactured these before STG 58 kits dried up - they cut the barrels down to 16 inches, and built the parts onto their Type I receivers. The Stolle flash hiders were replaced with a proprietary muzzle break that is similar in appearance. This can be seen in the attached photos.

I purchase the rifle used from an LGS nearly a decade ago, and since then have fired <100 rounds through it. It has functioned perfectly for me. Included in the sale is a used SA58 Extreme Duty Scope Mount.

Imbel receivers

I would be willing to bet that the price is “per” receiver. Even at $475 ea its a STEAL

I updated the advertisement for clarification. I am asking $475 for each receiver. Am I out of touch with the market?

I think $475 is respectable asking price (not a "STEAL"). They sell for around $500 on auction sites, and often don't sell the first time listed; someone has to be looking for one.

Regarding the STG-58, is this a ban era gun with permanently affixed muzzle device?

I believe this is a ban-era gun, though I have never tried to remove the muzzle device.

It's pretty darn easy to get $575 out of new Imbel receivers on gunbroker. Make them consecutive and it should be even easier.

I have an Imbel on there right now that has vise and hammer marks on it and is just Century marked, not actually marked Imbel anywhere, that I'm asking over 5 for and it's getting interest. Hasn't sold yet, but it costs nothing when it automatically re-lists. It will eventually sell to someone without enough patience to keep looking, or when I finally lower the price enough.

Nope. My saved searches over the past year or so range from $450-$550 for a new Imbel. None of the receivers received more than one pid (the opening bid). Every receiver that started with a low opening bid flopped (sold for less than $450). Most receivers with high opening bids took multiple weeks to sell. Every one win a while, a receiver with a stupid high opening bid sells to an impulsive buyer. If a new Imbel was a slam dunk at $575, I would have sold a few.

As stated before, $475 is a very respectable price.

I wish you luck selling your beater Century Imbel receiver fOh, I wish you luck selling your beater Century Imbel receiver for over $500. or over $ It will be a hard sell since new Imbels are not as uncommon as some believe. The receivers were cheap (under $200), and many people bought multiples. They were an excellent investment, just like quality FAL kits and surplus 7.62x51 ammo. On that note, the best return on investment would have been those beat to hell $99 G1 and Imbel kits. Easy 300%+ profit. Boom! On the flip side, a super nice $400 matching STG58 kit back in the day is now worth $800 tops. Instead of concentrating on high end kits, I should have stacked up on the beaters. Go figure?

Or how about $99 L1A1 kits? I always get more money it of inch kits than I do Imbel kits.

I am open to the idea of throwing in a magazine with the purchase of the rifle. I have 24 surplus magazines in good working order available for purchase separately if you require more. I do not have an original top cover on hand. Otherwise what you see is what you get.

PARS sells G/L receivers all day long on Gunbroker for $540.00 and has for quite some time now.
I just last week sold an untouched G/L here on the marketplace for $500 plus shipping. It took about two days to find a buyer

$475 is a very very good price

Maybe you hey'll pop up on Gunbroker?

It makes you wonder if the seller was actually asking the initial price for the pair before he got wind of the current value.....
