I thought the price awfully high, but thinking again, if one wanted to assemble the parts in that condition, it would cost more. It is darned near impossible to get all "correct" parts in that condition; I know, I'm still trying to find the last few UE57 parts, and forget the price, I just can't find them. Heck, it would be easier to find a gorgeous set of matching furniture, and then find the parts kit that matches it!

BTW, that Entreprise receiver is pre-NY-ban in case anybody cares.

The price is sorta high. But it is my first Incher, and the matching numbers + perfect wood = gotta have it. That and I was first to the auction last night

May not shoot it a bunch, but it is going to get shot.

Peace.

Yeah it is kind of a high price, but I think its worth it if you are looking for one that is all correct and in this condition and it is exactly what I paid when I bought it. I have pieced another one together like you said and it has taken me a long long time to find all of the parts and it still is not quite matching (it has an MA marked stock and pistol grip and SLAZ marked handguards - finding a gorgeous set of matching furniture is the hard part):

I do have another all matching one that has slightly darker wood (this picture makes it look lighter though) which personally I like a little bit more, otherwise I dont think I'd be selling the one I posted:

Both gorgeous rifles for discerning collectors. 90% of FN enthusiasts won't care about correct furniture, but for those of us who really appreciate the finer examples, you guys are in hog heaven. Good job Brunop.

Well it's like this.

IT SOLD IN 14 MINUTES!!!

That tells me that price was not too high.

We've had springfield made Para's for under $1400 that took several days to sell.

That is NOT a bad price! I purchased 3 of those kits (brand new L1A1s still in the original wrap) from Entreprise in 1993 and built them on Entreprise receivers. I sold one in 1994 for $2400. I kept the best one and the other one that my buddy got came back to me this year. They are absolutely new in every way and very accurate.....Andy

I'm not a discerning collector (yet). But I know a nice looking rifle that is not often seen when I see one.

And it may be a sin, but I'm going to shoot that bad boy when it gets here. I'm giving it to my wife to give to me for Christmas. I told her I'd scream like a girl and shout, "Oh, you shouldn't have!" - which she thought was pretty funny.

I'm pretty psyched, so thanks a bunch.

Peace.

NO! They had all the neccessary parts. The selector was designed so that it's
travel from semi-suto position to full-suto was blocked by the upper receiver.
However, all you had to do was break open the receiver far enough to allow the
rotation of the selector into the full-auto position and close the receiver back.
But to thumb the selector back into semi-auto required opening the receiver
again far enough to allow the selector to clear the upper receiver again. This is
not very convenient or practicle in combat. Of course if you are an aggressive
type personality you could remove the selector and file or grind down the elongated
end of the selector so that it would not be necessary to open the receiver in
order to allow the full range of operation by the selector.
