Got a buddy who has an EARLY AR-15. No Forward assit!

It is missing the front takedown pin and the proper Left Right handguards.

Anyone know were we can find these.

How early?

Does it use the pin with the release in the center or the regular take down pin?

Regular triangular handguard?

I've had pretty good luck on the Reto Forum over on AR15.com.

Also, check NoDak's website, there is a link to HeatnBeat for gray colored parts.

I just went to NoDak's website and I see he has updated the retro lower home page to include links to other dealers that deal in reto parts.

Check it out.

Pretty sure it takes the two piece take down pin. I can't see where the retaing pin and spring hole would be. But then I didn't break it completly down yet.

Thanks for links. I'll take a look and get my mitts back on the rifle to verify the takedown pin.

If it's an SP1 it'll take the two part take down pin. Look on gunbroker also.
