Recently purchased a 556 Classic. Any suggestion on slings? I'm not a big fan of the "tactical" slings, just intrested in a run of the mill sling.

I used a surplus HK sling with mine. Worked great.

I think Vince uses an HK sling as well.

I personally have an U.E.R.T. sling for mine, but that is only because I already had one when I bought the 556 and the adapters are cheap so I can hang any gun I like from one sling.

I also use a HK type sling.

Can't remember the guy I got it from but he makes them.

I think that was funny,but my rifle was hurt by the comment.HK sling here,works great.

Rtg sells new HK leather slings for like $10.00. I used them on both the SIG 556 and the SCAR. On the SCAR you need a second hook.
