Dammit, Hagar.........

Once I get a bug up my arse for something, I have to go and get it. I cant remember the last time I bought anything new before this, let alone something that wasnt American made.

Nice, those things fit my paws better than anything out there, even my beloved 1911's.

Found an excellent condition "Pre B" last weekend for about $550, but didn't pick it up, not a collector.

Sig's are OK too, but don't have the handling characteristics of the CZ for me. My daughter recently declared, "Dad, I'm taking the Sig home with me", so it looks like I won't be spending much trigger time on my ex P229 except for visits.

I think I'm safe...the trigger position and grip shape on those just dont appeal to me the way the CZs do.

When I was stationed in Germany way back in the '80s everyone was buying CZs and bringing them back to the States since they weren't available in the U.S. The fact that they were so desirable by my Army buddies stuck in my mind all these years, so when I was finally in the market for a handgun they had started selling them here in the States and I jumped on a CZ 75B P-06 (40S&W) Compact at my local gun show. That's been my carry gun for years, until a couple of months ago when I bout a S&W M&P 9 Shield for summer wear since it's a bit easier to conceal.

Anyway, you'll love that CZ. They are some sweet shooters, extremely accurate, and reliable. I had to put about 500 rds through mine to break it in, but it has never malfunctioned since after several thousands of rounds.

A friend did a bit of trigger work on mine. Swapped out the stock trigger set with a nice chrome one and polished all the parts. What a nice trigger pull. Nearly as good as a S&W 686. He did it for free, but I imagine a minor trigger upgrade wouldn't cost for than ~$100-150. It would be worth it.

Enjoy!

A CZ75 is a piece of artwork, I just wish the darn prices did not go up the way they have.

We have a CZ75 (pre B) and a CZ75B, the are great pistols.

I also just picked up a SAR ARMS P2 45, "sort of" a CZ75 clone in 45ACP this week for me and (2) Tristar C100's (think CZ75 compact clone), one for my wife, the other for my son.

Now, I wish you were My Neighbor. If you have a Early Swiss SIG P210, even more so.

Here are a couple of pictures with my CZ75B, the SAR ARMS P2 45, and a Tristar C100. To me the Cz75 is an evolution of the 1911, Hi Power designs that is hard to beat.

Shoots straight too. Slow fire seven shot string at 25 yards. I wanted wood grips but they are just a little too thick on the CZs already fat frame.
