Remarked Izzy lower ?

The Izzy LB kit lowers from Sarco back in the 90's, that were spot milled to remove each Hebrew selector marking and then restamped A-S-F.
Was it ever established exactly where they were from ?
TIA
Cheers, yv

I don't believe so; they ruined good lowers, bad lowers, welded with abandon...wherever they came from, it wasn't pretty. They were not selective and hoping to convert them didn't work out that well, don't you wish they'd just left them alone?

Still have one that (swear), was an almost new lower, no other weldment/looseness/pinging/pin punches/hammering, and about three bounces to the recoil plate, that "got the treatment".

I'm reasonably certain it was as a parts lot and condition likely as purchased - not something that happened "for purpose" in this country. Remember, they also had and sold a lot of new Israeli and Canadian parts as well, even goodies from the Lithgow and Cannuck factory shutdowns, lot's of parts have passed through that knothole.

Mine is in very nice shape also. Maybe not as nice as yours, but no weld repairs, worn holes or anything but honest light use wear.
The 3/8" spot mills are light, no more than maybe .020" deep and the restamping is crisp and very professionally done.
Just wish I knew the back story,,,,captured ? Done for deniability purpose ? Or ???
