Tightening up a leather holster

Have any of you fine gentlemen

effectively shrunk a leather holster by wetting it and letting it dry? Should I wrap the pistol in plastic and insert it in the holster during this process? Should I just buy a new holster? This is for a Ruger lcr.~ss

I've soaked a few in hot water then let dry. After dry put your firearm in a ziplock bag and let it stay over night. If it's too tight insert your firearm into 2 ziplocks and let sit over night.

Yes, cling film wrap pistol, wet holster, insert pistol, lay on the dash of the pickup for an hour.
It is AZ after all.

Been known to cook beans that way as well, put them out at noon, good eatin by sundown.

Natures own slow cooker.
Chevies work far better for this than Fords.

Do you have a retention screw adjustment?
They often have a rubber insert/grommet.
I've hit a couple of my old ones like this, the rubber insert/grommet on the bench sander, and then all was nice and tight when put back together.

I'd have to pull out the BIG gun holsterss for that, so just use a pot!

If yall come up with a viable and successful methodology, I know a couple old gals (think MILF-ish) might be interested in the process.

Seriously, if a 1911, go with one of these (pictured below).
Maybe you can find a blue Elsie Are?
Otherwise, wrap that rascal prior to placement in the holster!
