G-43

Decided to try the G43, It's a little fireball but infinitely better than the Zimmerman specials like Keltec P9, P40. It was a little rough to shoot because of it's so lightweight. I am very pleased with it and will use it for carry in hot weather when wearing light clothing in summer months after I run a few more hundred rounds through it to insure reliability. The trigger measured 6 lbs.

Yeah,

Sold mine for a Kahr CW-9 which will soon be traded for a SIG P365. SIG knocked this one out of the park. Everyone else is going to be playing catch up for awhile.

The P365 is simply Sig catching up with everyone else, and not in any spectacular fashion so far as I can tell. I don't think Kahr, S&W, SA, Kel Tec, or Walther are particularly worried for its arrival.

I'd say that I am a fan of the Glock 43. I do have big hands, but it still seems to feel comfortable when I hold and shoot it.

I have G43, S&W Shield 9mm, Walther PPS M2
they are all good pistols !
"MY" preference based on hand size, accuracy, ease of shooting, concealment, and my accuracy one handed, off hand, supported etc.....
>>> Walther PPS M2 <<<
.
They all "now" shoot about the same, because
1. G43 replaced the sights to Tru-glo (fiber and tritium)
. . . . . replace the trigger link to Vicker (reduce trigger shutter and pull)
. . . . . installed Pearce 43+1 mag extensions to 6 mags.
. . . . . installed Talon grip tape
.
2. Shield replaced the sights to Tru-glo (fiber & tritium)
. . . . . . replaced trigger assy to Apex tatical kit (trigger was "junk")
. . . . . . installed Talon grip tape
.
3. Walther replaced the sights to Tru-glo (fiber & tritium)
nothing else !

Also had a Kimber Solo some years ago, which was "unreliable", and TINY!
If the Sig 365 is smaller than the G43 which is the smallest of the above,
I would have to pass based on its size alone. Even the G43 is borderline
small as I shoot low with it due to hand size. XL gloves and long fingers.
sig usually has quality products, but too small for many, just right for others !
Also have a Sig P229 & wife has "her own" Sig 238. (might have the wife take a look at it...never know)

The P365 arrived in typical Cohen fashion. Be interesting to see how its re-arrival plays out.

The G43 isn't as thin as I thought it would be and it's a handful, but I carry one. I carry in my backpack or IWB. Or in cargo pockets of my shorts in the summer. It is small enough to go unnoticed most of the time.

Something I never thought about until I was at an indoor range - a short barreled 9mm makes quite a flash. Almost like my Model 19 with a 158grn semi-wad cutter!

In pocket pistols I went from a Kel Tec 9, to a Kahr 9, to the 43.
I didn't trust the Kel-Tec, and couldn't get used to the Kahr's loooong trigger pull. The 43 with mag extensions is the best of the 3 in my opinion.

I like my 43 and keep it loaded with 7+1 MagGuts in a standard mag with pinky extension and a backup +3 mag. It's snappy but not uncontrollable.
Still deciding between Vickers combat sights and Proctor Y notch.

Been seeing this a ton, I just can't see the value in the little pocket pistol for any man (not tiNY female or tight shirt wearing shemalez) who with a decent holster can conceal a decent firearm ..not enough ammo, very short sight radius,"snappy", and a tendency for the carrier to just "throw it in a pocket" making it unsafe as hell...on a run, maybe, a bicycle or someplace ULTRA concealment is required. But never, ever as an edc. No one else ever said "damn, I brought too much ammo to this gunfight".....your lives are worth better, and.yes this is an ongoing argument at work. I take heat for my argument as they love this Lil bugger, but I remain steadfast in my opinion. Begin punching now.
