Thanks! I got lucky on the the cabinets and found them at a used furniture store. My wife was pretty insistent we get them. It really is nice having a spouse who supports your hobby. I would hate to have all sorts of rich history and have to have them in a box in the closet.

Fantastic collection of memorabilia my friend! Museum worthy I'd say, you gotta be proud of that!

Most of these hobbies dovetail into firearms in one way or another- camping, gym, offroading, reloading, and collecting militaria- primarily pertaining to the French wars in Indochina and Algeria, Portugal's Colonial War, and the Rhodesian Bush War.

Combat gardening, basically it involves setting traps up on my land to catch trespassing Lycra clad cycalists who ignore the sign that says"private road" posted" no trespassing". So far I have got 4, 3 in the ditch, 1 over the side of the mountain. Very spectacular...

I will be glad to offer people for acting and set construction (some people who are welders, master carpenters, mechanics, medics and actors) IF you are serious about both desire and budget!
PM me for numbers of each and prices.

Among my many hobbies is collecting Indian artifacts (arrowheads), but only the ones I find. Last year I found over 40. This year is sorta slow with only about a dozen so far.

No, I use a double edge blade razor. I need to purchase the appropriate stones to do the sharpening job and they are pretty expensive. That will be for another day.

i use to fly sailplanes but was not doing it enough to stay good and every landing in a sailplane has to be perfect cant go around .

now i am sailing a 34 ft sailboat single handed most of the time. if you mess up in a sailboat you stand a better chance of living

Any airplane with a tailwheel. Stay away from airport hangar flying groups now. Somehow the word gets out and the glider clubs start calling looking for a tow guy.

Quit flying R/C planes years ago. Everytime someone’s pager went off, my plane crashed.

But my wife is my life. If you don’t get it, then I can’t explain it.

Feel your pain as becoming a professional patient. As to hobbies high altitude moumtaimeering, ice climbing, rock climbing, slack lining, bicycle riding/racing, running, white water kyaking, open sea kyaking, weight lifting, skiing, skateboarding, rollerblading, spelunking, travel, building/restoring/riding motorcycles, collecting knives, trucks, antique tractors and steam engines, hotrods, electronics (especially radar repair/hacking), ham radio, photography, body armor/ballistic barrier collecting/manufacturing/testing to name a few and have 1/2 the required jumps for BASE but a broken lumbar/thoracic/cervical spine along with most of my BASE friends dying ended any hope of continuing that lifestyle along with mountaineering, cycling and other physical sports to any real degree of difficulty.

Kudos to BASE 704 as that is a sport till recently had less than 1,000 active participants worldwide. Climbing partner of mine did the ski/parachute jump for the James Bond film where skied off a cliff and popped a big Union Jack parachute (before BASE numbers were issued), another climbing partner Earl was BASE 300 and well renown as well as my friend Dean along with others are all dead but I blame the National Park Services stupid rules as they killed my buddy Dano for slack lining with their rabid chasing and sometimes killing people for doing nothing to harm anyone except maybe themselves, so what 704 does is at the top of the pecking order in extreme sports along with slack-lining, solo mountaineering and solo ice climbing.

I can *just* remember the end of the "moo horn" era, probably on rusty MILW F units.

All I have is a couple of traction horns...closest I have to anything even remotely mainline is a big GE chime whistle off a BA&P boxcab.

When I retire (hopefully not long from now) going to get back into photography, hunting, fishing, hiking, biking, etc. as I did before. Hang out and enjoy the great outdoors. Now times are hot in the oil patch so "make hay while the sun shines".

With a name like LongHair51, I think that answer was a given. Now if it had been SweeneyTodd who collected straight razors, well that would have been a horse of a different color.

Been into a lot of hobbies over the years but thinning things out at the moment.

My longest running hobby has been radios... Communications type radios from 1920s to modern. Amateur, commercial, marine and military surplus. I used to build antique communication gear using original parts.

Below are some of my past projects.

1929 Hartley Amateur transmitter.

1929 Amateur regenerative receiver.

1934 Amateur TRF receiver.

1934 Amateur crystal controlled transmitter.
