Recommended FAL Builders

I've been away from the FILES for awhile and my search function is not working. I'm using a not so smart smart phone. (Could be the user).

I have a nice all matching STG58 kit with an early DSA Type II receiver. Blue Monster grip and stock and the rest of necessary compliant USA parts.

Who do y'all recommend for a builder?

Sounds like you have great stuff to work with. Doing it yourself is fun but if not:

You haven't even been here 'awhile'! Were you here under another user name?

Yeah, but I couldn't figure it out. Thought it was M14vrp.
I remember LaC, sledgehammer, and others I have forgotten their user names. Had MOSES build me a nice all matching StG-58 back 11 or 12 years ago. Bought my 2 StG-58 kits from Brad at GunThings.com for about $350 each, all matching excellent condition.

You get my age memory is fuzzy. They say vitamin E is good for your memory but I keep forgetting to take it.

Randy Kline ( Sledgehammer ) has done work for me and I've always been very pleased with it. Haven't seen him around lately but might be worth giving him a shout.

I bought parts from Randy years ago for the first StG-58 build. He was first class to deal with. Seems I ran across a post where he has slowed down some in his work but not sure.

I believe I am going to go with ARS for my build this time.

Thanks for the response!

Randy is back from some medical issues encountered late last year. Believe he told me he's in the shop only one day a week right now. Built up a nice Rhodie for me recently and has another kit of mine currently. Good guy to deal with and work is excellent.

Can't go wrong with ARS, Randy used to have a better turnaround, but that may not still be the case. I've never used Gunplumber but i wouldn't hesitate to recommend his work based upon what I have seen and/or shot !

Ha! I'm about 6 miles up the road from there. I hope to have everything moved down and set up in the next few days. Let's shoot some fal's sometime.

I've used Randy a couple times, and I've referred several people to him.

All were ecstatic with the results.

Randy's had some health issues, but if and when you can pin him down, Randy will do you 100% right 100% of the time.

I'll second that! He does fine work and is great to deal with.

I dont think you would go wrong with either Randy or ARS. Mark has done great work a long time ago for me and Randy has to.
