Yesterdays view...

...I was traveling for work out through the mountains west of Sydney. Pulled over to stretch my legs and saw this, figured I best snap a pic or two.

Nice !
It's good to have a camera ready when you find great shots like these.

Hmm,

Looks like the Blue Mountains the wife visited, before we went up to Port Douglas. Incredible view.

Wow. Where's Lithgow, mate?

Really nice photos.

That is about 35km south east of Lithgow... a bit out of the way than the usual areas I frequent...

I almost emmigrated to Australia in the early '80's before they began to hate Americans. Had my pilots license, was working towards my commercial multi-engine when I was planning this. I even convinced the AT&T overseas operator to allow me to call an information operator in Sydney to ask who to call for more info. Yes I know I could have called the consulate in LA but I wanted to hear that sexy accent. From a female..ahem.

But the more I thought about it I decided not too as every damn thing that walks, crawls, slithers, hops, swims, drifts, wriggles and flys is not only viciously aggressive (with the exception of the Koala), but deadly poisonous.

Seems everywhere you go is a Kodak moment waiting to be captured. Too bad about all the deadly things.

...... well two things..... find a video of someone trying to capture a wild Koala (not a park pet that is tourist friendly) and don't forget the Drop Bears (close cousin of the Koala).
