WTK: Current market price for 1000 rounds of Port

Have some to sell. Not counting actual shipping, what is the going price for a 1000 rounds of Portugese 7.62 NATO now days?

Regards

Ben

.35-.40/rd

Problem is shipping. By the time it's added the cost is way over what most wll pay. FtF is a much better way to go unless you are willing to take a hit on price.

I would say .40 is where most people would be interested.

I watched Stoney re-up his ad many times, unfortunately (for me) not dropping his price, but I would have snapped it up at .40 a round as I like Port. He apparently got full asking price as he mentions- but it took a long time to sell I think.

At .50/ round, I prefer newer/reloadable casing stuff which isn't much more costly... Berdan primered makes the Port just recyclable when it has been fired- unless you have berdan primers stocked away somewhere (I have been unable to find any for sale myself).

Portugese FNM 7.62x51mm ammo

Theirs a person on Guns America that is selling Cases of The same ammo for 395.00 plus 60.00 shipping. Mind you that case full weights 70 pounds and freight rates have gone up considerably.

The wooden crate could weight at least 15 pounds by itself. So it all depends if some one wants it all or to break it up? Up to you Major. Lee Out.

If I wanted to get rid of it I'd post it on a local gunboard at $400 a case and drop price to $350 if no one bites after a week.

After selling several cases of 762 at $150 a case when I moved in 2004 and then seeing price bounce up to $500 a case I learned my lesson and never sell ammo as it seems to only go up in value and scarcity.

Wife and kids still don't seem to understand the significance...

Life seemed so much simpler 20+ years ago when I was a Sgt... sigh
