M1 garrand receivers made at Lithgow Australia I never knew we made these in Australia.
The role of the infantry is to seek & close with the enemy. Kill or capture him. Seize & hold territory regardless of weather, terrain & conditions

Some of the new Springfield Armory Garands around 2001 were built with these I believe, some were built with Breda receivers (I have one).

I have one of the Breda receiver M1s also. It's a shooting machine! Talked to the Springfield rep at the NRA convention in 2002 and I don't remember exact numbers but they built up something like 500 or so on the forged Breda receivers and the rest were on the cast Lithgow receivers. Glad I got the Breda when I did.
