Your Suggestions For 'Smiths For The Roller-Locked Rifles

Have some mint Portuguese kits and PTR receivers.

Don't as yet have any 922 parts.

What am I in for and what will it cost?

Thanks!

I have one that Gunplumber built. He may be doing HK work again soon. His work is better than my factory 91.

I'm still suspending AK and HK work for now.. I just like the FAL the best and if I can keep enough FAL and refinishing work coming in to stay busy, There is no popint in going back to AKs and HKs.

Friend had CMP put one together for him a few years ago. Turned out great. Not sure if they still do it though.

Thanks for the input.

Talked to Jeff at Parabellum Combat Systems, nice guy.

Here are some interesting options on the G3 platform that have gotten popular over the last few years.

I'd be interested to hear any commentary on these, my personal preference is they all have value of varying degrees, again, on resale value, it's what the market will bear, some are cosmetic.

1) Full Auto 3 position switch is kept visually to the casual observer. NO FULL AUTO CAPABILITY.

2) The swing-down pin is EXTERNALLY retained, to the casual observer. Trigger pack will not swing down as with the original. ( Steps #1 & #2 $65.00)

3) Magazine paddle release instead of the button. $40.00

4) Trigger job to lower the H&K 12lb. pull, to about 6lb. $65.00

Had a trigger job done on my JLD by a vendor in Shotgun News, a gent in Illinois, and the increase in accuracy was DRAMATIC!

#2 #3 and #4 are some of the reasons why I don't like the HK rifles (there are others but...) If it were me and it was my rifle and had the money I would do the upgrade.
