I need 2 NIB Colt NM Gold Cup 1911s

NIB Colt NM Gold Cup 1911s.

I need two.

The LGS says $1,218 each, plus tax (but w/o shipping or transfer fee).

Any of the tribe know of a lesser cost source????

Buds shows a GC for $1190. Your dealer charges you shipping and transfer fee? No one around here charges for that unless you buy it from a place like Buds but I guess the local sale price has shipping factored in. No transfer fees if you order/buy from them.

No, my LGS does NOT charge shipping and transfer fee. The $1,218 is sale price.

Basically, I would need to find them more than fiddy bux cheaper to break even at that price with shipping and transfer added, but I will buy them from the LGS unless there is a real deal out there I have missed.

Are you buying shooters or collectors? What caliber? How fast do you need them?

Colt collectors forum had a nice one recently for $1100 in 45 acp. Plus there is a very nice gold cup elite in 45 but it's way up around $1800

These will be gifts and must be NIB, and must be 45, but thank you.

I believe Buds showed free shipping. Your dealer transfer and local tax, if any, would all you would have to pay, aside the cost of the pistols.

I love ya bro, but I don't need any more sons (unless of course they are fabulously wealthy and willing to take care of "the old man" in his later years)

Boys #2 and #5 each got a Colt NM GP upon college graduation.

Boys #1 and #3 both "decided" to father children at a young age and did not finish their bachelor degrees, but both this year have hit 10 years of service working for my company and are both excelling in their jobs. IMHO, I think 10 years of solid experience deserves the same gift as the degree did

I would not order from Buds even if they were $100 less.

Totally dishonest company. I not only won't order from them myself, I will no longer accept transfers from them.

My experience with Bud's is limited, but has been positive. Can you elaborate on why?

My one experience with Bud's was not great - advertised a pistol with 2 15rd mags and then shipped one with 2 10 round mags.

When I complained they said I should have refused to accept pistol at FFL - only after I threatened to contst VISA charge did they offer to provide correct mags.

Problem with Colt is that they will have buggered the finishing up at the factory yet shipped them out anyway with uneven flats and rounded corners. You really need to pick through them to find a good one.

We're the Gold Cups ever procured, here?

Curious about whether the fantastic gifts will be given.

Mike, you just know those gifts are going to rate some huge smiles and hugs! And deservedly so too. That should be a great occasion sir!

Like your family in April and May, our family has our "busy season" a bit later in the year. Between Nov.8 and Jan. 2 we have 6 birthdays and Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. In fact, there's a birthday every week in December! Yep, I didn't call it the busy season for nothing!

Boy #3 is working around work and kids today, but hopefully will get there in the morning to pick up his before the kid's ball games start.

Boy #1's new photo he texted me earlier below

Boy #3 got his today as well. I'm proud of all my kids in many ways, but this particular boy has taken every curve ball thrown his way that would keep most people off track and moved past them. Some were self-inflicted and some were just bad luck, but he has grown into an outstanding young man and an outstanding Dad over the last 10 years. Yeah, I love him.

They finally got to shoot them yesterday at our Memorial Day gathering. They are NICE just as expected.

They also happen to be consecutive serial numbers which I suppose is not surprising, but was not expected.

Of course Dad had to throw in an old school custom just for trigger comparison

It looks like you had a great Memorial Day.

I really like your Colt gifting tradition. Your sons will have fond memories to reflect on as they shoot them for years to come.
