Great little item for Galil users

I put a FAB defense rail cover on my ATI Galeo in order to mount a low power tactical scope - and I immediately encountered the inherent Galil design problem with the vertical charging handle. You basically can't operate the rifle with a scope mounted on the receiver cover. I was considering getting a spare carrier and cutting and welding on a horizontal charging handle until I found this.

You can actually get them cheaper direct from ZFI bypassing Gunbroker if you do a Google search for them.

Its a nice elegant solution for Galil shooters

So, it is a way to make the Galil bolt carrier behave like to an AK one but avoiding just swapping the AK bolt carrier (some people have used the Galil one in the AK) to begin with because AK.

My brain hurts

It's a way to keep the Galil all Galil while at the same time being able to use a scope on a railed rear cover
