I'd like to see the serial on the right side of the trigger housing, as well as the proof mark that should be on the bottom of the receiver. It doesn't look right to me, especially at that price.

Mmmmm...............nice. For years, there was one at the Indy 1500 gun show that, I think, Ohio Ordinance had (with plunger) for $7,000.00. I kept looking at it show after show, passing on it because it was "too high priced". haha....

It is a pre 86 sample so only transferable to a class 3 dealer.

Just curious, what are the requirements/cost for a Class 3 license?

Actually, there is no such thing as a class 3 license. Even the term "class 3" is a bit of a misnomer.

There are registered NFA machineguns - but all of those had to be registered before May 19, 1986.

Then there are Dealer Samples which are just that - firearms converted to full auto which can only be in the possession of an FFL licensee who has a license to deal in NFA firearms.

And to do the conversion to full auto (as a dealer sample) one would need an SOT FFL license - or have somebody with that license do the conversion.

I'm not up to date on the costs for the dealer sample world so I won't speak on that subject.

$150 for the FFL every three years.
$500 per year for the SOT.

This is a pre-May which means you could keep it in your possession after you give up your SOT. However, it can only ever be transferred to another FFL/SOT so no leaving it to your heirs.

Thanks for that George.

At least if someone buys the one on Gunbroker, he can take it out and shoot it. It is my understanding it is almost impossible to take a L2A1 out and shoot it.
