new mossberg 500
as the title says i just got a 500 from a freind and had some questions, im looking to change the wooden foreend to the old ribbed corncob style, all i can seam to find is old listings are there any avalible or am i looking at posting a wtb?

Corncob style is Winchester, afaik... my Mossy 500 I bought new in '86 was "normal" style.
I have a replacement stock set on it now (speedfeed on back, black plastic on front) and that is corncob style... but I got it sooo long ago I don't recall who made it. |

You have to watch the Mossbergs, vintage makes a difference. The older ones use a different action bar setup than the newer ones. I just went through this with a 590, I replaced the "practical tactical" with wood. I may have something that would work for you. Give me a bit...

This is a newer one, I know there are two diffrent lentgh action tubes but I haven taken mine apart to see the lentgh. I'm kinda looking at going twords a trench gun look

This is one of the two 590's I converted to wood. Yes, the action bars are longer on the 590.
