If you're thinking about a billet upper I thought this was a good deal. Like the no-nonsense styling too.

Midway has SIG Romeo 5 for $169.99 with free shipping and wondering if anyone seen them cheaper? Need two more decent red dots to go on all these piston guns I keep building. Finished number three and goal is to cut size of 23.75" 6.8 AR overall length using a 5.5" 5.56 barrel and the Battle Arms Development buffer group.

Also have the APF Armory NIB bolt group for $109:

Quote:
5.56x45mm Nickel Boron
Shot peened, nickel boron plated, 9310 steel BoltNickel boron plated, full auto, SE 8620 steel CarrierShot peened, nickel boron plated, CNC machined ExtractorPrecision ground, swish machined Firing pinChrome lined, nickel boron plated, CNC machined Gas KeySwiss machined, nickel boron plated Cam PinHeat treated componentsMachined to mil-spec standards

Alex Pro Firearms (APF) has been in business since 1976 crafting highly precise components. APF has taken their line of precision AR components and added a Nickel Boron coating to provide increased lubricity and much greater wear resistance than standard finishes. The APF Nickel Boron BCG is heat treated, shot peened, and machined to mil spec standards. If you are looking for a high quality BCG that will provide years of abuse, this nickel boron BCG is the perfect upgrade to your firearm.*
I know these are solid units and can never have enough bolt carrier groups put back. I normally use the Palmetto specials in basic bargain builds and mid grade builds after swapping out their bolt for a premium bolt. Now I know that ATN has a new version of the X Sight night vision know why got the three units so cheap. Like the pile of Hiperfire 24's and 24E's got when they were phased out for the new line. Still a great trigger can adjust to 2.5 pound pull just swapping springs and no hand tuning. A $79 2.5 pound crisp trigger is a thing of beauty.

Bought more Superlative Arms piston kits from Brownells, said in stock ready to ship but were not in box when arrived with a few other items. Called and said they backordered as site does not refresh inventory as items sell and would not arrive till late June. Ordered from Midway Monday and arrived today for $9.99 shipping instead of the free shipping. Brownells didn't want to tell me when items would ship but acted like these were for a client and had to know. Thought it was poor customer service not to even email when realized as all I got was email order received then an email saying order shipped after two days handling time. Midway seems to always come through when need stuff fast as does Centerfire Systems.

Edit:
Midway has AR Stoner Enhanced Plated trigger kit for $35. Good milspec triggers.

Well I didn't fair to well with Gorilla mfg. Got my order in the mail today and when I opened the package not only did I not find a Spikes upper but one of the blem uppers with the big ole machine mark on the side while still paying for a non blem upper And the float handguard might as well be a blem looks like they touched it up with a paint stick I don't think I'll be doing anymore business with these guys.

You can officially be into a working AR for $350, just need that $50 receiver (Anderson at Primary maybe?). Complete kit, less rear site and a receiver for $300 shipped.

Just saw that and was going to post. Even with free transfer am not a big enough fan considering how many lowers have in inventory but if your dealer doesn't hammer you on transfers then they are a good deal. If walk in either LGS I use can be out the door for 49.99 plus 7% tax on their Anderson lowers. If transfer they charge $25 for first unit then $5 per unit after first. Would have to buy three from Primary at one shot to save money and I don't know what their shipping charges are. Might have to do four units to actually save money over walking in off street.

Always figure shipping and transfer fees when order lowers. Before I began hooking them up with Mag Tacticals by splitting my blem specials from factory then became employee had to buy six generic Anderson/Aero type lowers to make the transfer cost and shipping not run price up past buying local. Unless saving real cash, buy from your local vendor so they will be there when you need them. I end up sharing my power buys with them often. Blows their mind how I buy same items cheaper than they can but it's relationships built over time with vendors that helps plus fact will buy any scraps they have laying around. How I ended up in 6XC and with a whole bunch of oddball air gauged 5.56 barrels like 13" 1:8 and 24" 1:12. Drop price cheap enough and will find a use for them.

PSA must have sold off most of their blems because I haven't seen much in the way of blems from them lately. Primary arms shipping rates are pretty fair but after my FFL fee and shipping I would probably have $65 into a Anderson lower.

Limit one, but $7.53 Priority mailing is reasonable enough. As a gunshow helper I get free transfers.

Don't know if Midway still has the APF Armory NIB carrier groups for $109 but they may have been some of the nicest finished and proprely dimensioned M-16 bolt carrier groups have held in some time. Put a pair in inventory and may be swapped into some rifles already built rather than sit waiting for builds are so nice.

Donno know about the 7.62, not listed on the site, but; The Nitrite would be my choice, but the Nickel-Boron ships free. These are dang good BCG's with great reviews and a full guarantee, no questions asked.

Saw that email earlier and still don't need a folder yet as have to unfold to deploy. Have Ruger GB's and an AC556 which are tiny and work with stock folded.

Yeah my thought is with that I can get the BO pistol down to backpack-fittin' size, without anything needing to be special. I currently keep it in a soft tennis racquet case, but getting it down to something that never looks out of place in public is the ultimate goal. With a backpack or messenger bag that doesn't scream "tactical $#!+ in here!" it could literally go with me anywhere I can carry concealed since it's a pistol by definition.

This is the sum total of the Dead Foot Arms MCS buffer system. Adds 2.55" of total length past the tail plate of an AR.

No here is their magic, can put any tube or pistol brace on it as a folder with the Tailhook being popular. This is it with their brace adapter and brace.

This is it with a Tailhook pistol brace. Likely what I am going to do with a near future build as the Battle Arms Development buffer tube with brace is too short to shoulder easily and keep it short. With Dead Foot Arms get your cake and eat it too as can fire with pistol brace folded or unfolded.

Question for the peanut gallery... Have had half a dozen companies make me a dealer along with another negotiating sponsoring my website as like direction taking. Thier offer is to provide optics for all of my builds long as don't go selling samples to line my pockets. Have also offered to make me a dealer if want to sell product with standard dealer pricing. Two smaller companies have said getting enough hits from my website or when look at recent sites in visitors cookies are coming from my posts in threads on discussion groups their I.T. departments noticed.

The tracking service I use on my site tells me if people came from a search engine and what key words they used in search. If came from a post in discussion group where someone linked a photo or page on my site it tells me path along with last three sites person visited. If was willing to pay more it would tell me peoples web habits as far back as their stored cookies allow. It's why I have one computer and one tablet that won't take cookies, have no personal information in them and use from free public WiFi access points to keep them anonymous. Can't even check my email with them.

Learned a long time ago all emails sent through yahoo and Gmail addresses are scanned by web bots. About a decade ago lost my server and started using the Yahoo address had for using in the road to get by till got a new server ordered, delivered, configured and runnning. Friend was buying a new Corvette and we swapped a few emails about Corvettes from his Gmail to my Yahoo account and I began to get Corvette and Camaro ads in my browser window when checked my email. We tried this with two other subjects and inside of 24 hours we both began getting ads for item discussing along with spam email ads. Checked and EULA gives Gmail and Yahoo right to pilfer emails like posts on discussion forums to "enhance user experience".

One of the companies that made me a dealer last week and another that actually gave me some product suggested I consider adding a web store. Told both I can't afford to buy a huge amount of inventory and stock in hopes of reselling and didn't want I.T. headaches of having a secure server to keep up with credit card purchases and was told to let PayPal handle that and them drop ship direct to customer. There are two online vendors I use now that do just that. Load your cart with items and when hit checkout get message am being transferred to PayPal for payment and once pay then PayPal sends me back to their site. Both have really good prices and now know why, they stock nothing and have no huge I.T. department to,secure and handle people's credit card incormation.

Idea is as I finish a build, parts from vendors willing to drop ship directly to my client would price the items at a bargain where have small and fair markup, let PayPal take their cut, vendors handle shipping and all I do is keep building guns and sell items I like from vendors willing to drop ship direct without touching the item or money except for fleabay transfer. Looks like I can pocket 10% to 25% based on items (smaller the item higher the markup, learned in camera business made less than 10% on high dollar cameras but film and processing doubled or tripled money). Would make about same off a $30 item as $300 item in some circumstances but might actually do well enough to cover expenses of web sites, servers and recoup some build costs.

While one I f my favorite real stores does just this and does not bother me know some people that hate PayPal. Trying to figure out how many hate them enough would pass on good deals from a "shadow" vendor with no real store or inventory. Have discovered many stores have similar business model or mixed. One LGS lists every Leupold, Nightforce, Nikon okand Vortex scope available in their web store but only stock enough for their retail and online orders areally drop shipped from distributor. If can just subsidize 1/2 of my build costs can keep turning out unique guns. Had to have a Federal I.D. number, State Sales & Use tax number and will have to collect sales tax in states that require it on web sales plus shipping and provide copies of my retail business license. My LGS is three blocks from work and owner does not seem bothered as not going to have sales counter just online and he is getting access to accounts he did not have as in past.

How many would be bothered enough by site taking you to PayPal for payment and shipping from manufacturer would leave and use a more traditional interface? PayPal has much better security than I could do even if hired an I.T. person. Square offers a similar service but takes folks offsite. Have access to a bunch of parts now could sell about 25% to 50% less than what most charge for same items. As a customer I would take the savings but wanted to get a feel for how many back out when hit stores that use Paypal for checkout. If persue will only be selling non FFL parts. Have to decide if setting this up is worthwhile.

Any recommendations for a 16" mid length barrel and a gas block that has the triangle to use the delta ring set up? Want a light pencil barrel and will use magpul HGs already have an upper receiver. Building on the cheap except for a Larue trigger. Probably no back up sights and just a dot.

Triangular handguard cap will be a separate part from gas block. Generally choose gas block and then round or triangle end cap as needed. Bravo Company sells both and theirs are not stamped from such thin metal will easily bend if put much pressure on them like a lot that are stamped in china.

Probably have to wait for Black Friday or Christmas providing the anti-gunners don't do something stupid to us. I see ole Hogg was laying on the floor with a bullhorn stuck in his blow hole with a bunch of other protesters so he's hard at work.

Brownells has LWRC 6.8 spc II bolts for $59. I picked up three as used two of my White Oaks and one ARP in piston builds. Now have three White Oak, three LWRC, one ARP, four complete PSA premiums and three PSA bargain complete bolt carrier groups in 6.8. Of the 17 completed 6.8 builds about six to eight have a cheap Palmetto 6.8 bolt in pistol grip as spare. Like having a spare bolt and firing pin in the grips of my dedicated fighting rifles in case either breaks when in a bind have a spare on board. Pulled a pair of ARP 6.8 barrels, one ARP 20" 22 Nosler and a 24" White Oak Armament for my next four AR builds. My goal now is two dozen 6.8 AR's finished so have everything from pistols to 22" heavy barrel builds to cover any 6.8 need.

As if didn't have enough 16" AR's when did my Mk 12 Mod H clone used an 18" Noveske barrel as did on my Mod 0 and Mod 1 clone as were right length and some Mod 1's did sport Noveske tubes instead of Douglas. The Mod H is supposed to have a 16.5" Noveske barrel so now looking for one to get it correct. Know it's trivial and 16" is my least favorite for AR barrels but want to fix the Mod H. If anyone sees a 16.5" Noveske on sale somewhere sing out.

I did see a few other good deals pop up over Memorial Day weekend but are gone now and two that saw had to decrease number in cart till let me check out and showed out of stock once I clicked comfirm. Hate doing that sometimes but if see a $99 trigger for $29 or similar can't help myself. Man can never have enough triggers as it seems to be the part I run out of most often. Need to find a deal on some more binary triggers as slowly been putting binaries in my clones as Mk 12's and XM177's are supposed to have three position single stage triggers and with the light spring plus a little polishing they break clean just under four pounds and third position binary mode has most people assuming you just torched a full auto burst if bump the trigger quickly.

One last thing is Brownells has their one pound blocks of chamber casting alloy on sale as well. I like chamber casts on any nicer barrel intend to develop a load for as being able to look at the chamber cast and measure it allows sizing brass to best specs to fit chamber snug but not too snug to impede function.

Do you have a fave? Haven't seen a clear winner in Franklin vs Fostech.

Well for a while I was getting the Franklins for $290 so loaded up while I could. Trying to get set up as a Fostech dealer so I don't have to worry about running out of the former Mag Tactical billet magnesium receivers they are marketing as their Fight Light series since purchased all the company inventory and machinery out of bankruptcy sale.

Love the super wide reinforced trigger and hammer pin axis points that use much longer trigger pins. They have such precise machining and having built over 30 of which several see rough duty never had one break and while they told me me "suspected" got a bad shipment of magnesium billet from a supplier they were so strapped didn't recall the serials in that lot but it was an early lot before I began power buying them. They entered the AR market with a high dollar part when market was bottoming out then had a Q.C. issue and didn't address it. Funny thing is LGS sold over 400 Mag Tactical lowers and about 50 uppers and never had a return or complaint. I have about 90 that I know of put back but still occasionally find a box stuck somewhere had forgotten to put away and log into inventory.

I have two of the first generation Echo triggers with the super light springs that were part of the lot supposed to only go to magazine reviewers, popular gun bloggers and such. On third position they would bumpfire with no effort and as have broken in its hard to get off the trigger in third position before have run most or all of a magazine. They stiffened those up for production triggers as may have become a NFA item in original configuration after some wear. If my dealer papers go through with Fostech will be able to justify buying a couple and trying them. Have had several companies encourage me to set up a web store on my website and working on logistics of how to make it work in manner doesn't overwhelm me.

Brownells still has their LWRCI 6.8 bolts for $59. Left two in parts box at work for upcoming builds and brought these home to put in a couple rifles that already have fair amount of wear on Palmetto premium BCG's and will put the ones I pull in grips for full time spares on rifles. Have yet to break a 6.8 bolt but if happens want a spare and figure better bolt installed less likely will get to that point and if get in bind for bolts on builds know more of my 6.8's have a spare can steal than don't. Already have spare bolts incoming for the 458 SOCOM kits as dang things look mighty thin once hogged out for a 458 case head. Waiting on Form 1 and Form 4 on two of the SOCOM builds anyway.

ARP superbolt, White Oak Armament or LWRCI have never had any failures even in binary or bump rifles built just for express reason of abusing. That said, other than ejector/spring have no problems with others though most inepensive bolts are just kept for spare parts or in rifles don't shoot.

PSA Father's Day Sale - Premium BCG & Charging Handle $79.99 Shipped

We must be far enough removed from Parkland for inventories to be up and vendors wanting cashflow. When PSA offers free shipping on lots of stuff you know they're overstocked.

Recently had five high dollar accessories sold, two going to me and other three going to local clients. One saw item on sale at Joebob's cheaper than my wholesale price. Asked vendor what's up, how do I compete if other vendor can sell under wholesale. LGS owner was going to buy three for the shop as well which meant sight total units was movi which turns out they got a special price for buying over 200 units and then priced less than wholesale which shot every vendor that couldn't buy 200 $500 retail parts per order. Looked at my vendor rules which specifically stated retailers not allowed to sell at less than Military & Police discount price. Now I can compete but with them selling at MAP my margin is small.

Working on a webstore to go with website selling products use and like. People will actually get to see how unique parts are implemented and debugged along with reviewed as to my opinion on function. As back gets worse looking at alternative business opportunities that do not involve as much labor but some of these parts resellers are working on under 10% margins. Have to sell a lot of parts in order pay overhead with those margins. Going to try a non FFL accessory online store and link LGS site for FFL items. Am a Palmetto dealer but most parts on "Daily Deal" or "Clearance" retail and dealer price is same I just get to use my sales & use tax form to save sales tax then apply it to end purchaser.
