One detail that I do have that I already have two sponsors to announce.

MOA Targets and Bluegrass Targets are both in to sponsor stages! They both produce some really nice steel targets, from 1/4 inch rimfire stuff all the way up to 1 inch AR500 for .50BMG. Check them out and maybe order some stuff to train up with. They also have Facebook pages so head on over and like them to keep up to date with some of the awesome stuff their doing with steel.

Yes. The Legion match is handling some of the military history. Also, me and Dave have discussed a different kind if run through history on a weekend around memorial day. Not this year but possibly 2019.

I'm happy to report that Vortex Optics has agreed to return as a sponsor. They'll be covering a stage AND an obstacle. Check them out and maybe get yourself something to run during this year's match season!

I'm proud to announce that Smoke Composites is in as a sponsor! This guy makes some awesome carbon fiber accessories for your AR. He said that he was in for "at least a stage" and mentioned a few pretty sweet sets of furniture that he had in mind to send. Head over to their FB page and to the website to check them out. Heck, you may wanna buy something to lighten the load a little.

Stage 1- Aww crap these guys heal? Presented by Smokes Composites.

Shooter will move to the shooting box and engage a plate rack placed at 15 yards with their pistol. You must make all 6 hits in a row. If you miss a shot, you must engage a single 8 inch plate isolated to the side at 20 yards. The RO will reset the plate rack and you will start over with 6 fresh targets.

Tiger- you may want to encourage the ROs on this stage to coach people on when to give up. It would be a shame for competitors to expend all rounds available on stage 1.

I absolutely will do that. I have a couple stages planned where the ROs will be encouraged to coach. But the main advice I give here is to take your time and make your hits.

We have another stage sponsor! Holosun Optics makes some fantastic red dot optics and has agreed to send us some goodies for the prize table. I bet that one of those will end up on a RnG rifle for the next season. Head over to their website and check it out.

A second sponsor for today!!! Walther Arms has signed up and they're coming through in a big way. They are going to sponsor the side match. The side match will be a pistol course of fire using a Walther PPQ and provided ammunition. Every entry will receive a ticket. At the end of the day, one of those tickets will be drawn and will be going home with that Walther PPQ! That's right, in addition to competing for the side match prize(to be determined) you will also get a shot at taking home that pistol. Head on over to their website and check out what they have to offer, and if you have a friend with a PPQ, maybe take it for a test drive and see what all the fuss is about.

I've been asked by a few people this year, and several last year. I'm going to allow pistol caliber carbines to stand in for rifles this year. However, your pistol must be a separate firearm and must shoot a pistol caliber. This is a test run. If I see too much gaming it'll go away next year, just something to keep in mind. Also remember, there will be at least 1 300 yard plus shot that you have to make. And DNFs are a real thing.

Guys, we had a sponsor come on board today. I can't even express how excited I am to announce that Thunderbeast Arms has agreed to sponsor the mule award, as well as send some other merchandise along. The mule is going to receive a certificate for a FREE Thunderbeast Suppressor. There will also be some certs on the prize table, so if you don't think you can win the mule, then you'll still have a shot at some good stuff.

For those who are new, or have forgotten, the mule is the person who carries the highest percentage of their body weight and finishes the course. There will be a checkbox on registration if you're planning on muling. This is purely so I have a rough idea of how many I'm gonna have.

Anyways, if you're thinking that using a suppressor for this match sounds like a good idea(I recommend it, cans are awesome), then head on over to their website and their FB page and check them out. They have some top of the line suppressors for all calibers, as well as some accessories if you already have one.

Stage 2 - Beware of Bathrooms. Presented by Vortex Optics
Sometimes, you have to be alert when you're at your most vulnerable. Crawler zombies use bathrooms to catch unwary prey.

Stage your rifle and pack(if necessary) in the staging area. You will begin this stage seated in the Porta Potty with your pistol holstered. The RO will pull the door open. You will then draw your pistol and shoot 4 clay pigeons out of their holders while seated. You may then stand up and move to the shooting box, where you will engage 6 steel flipper targets. Safely holster your pistol, grab your gear and head to the next stage.

Is this stage "#2" on purpose? Can you pull up your pants before you move to the shooting box?

Yes. Yes it is. Lol. And as much as I would love to simulate that, I can't figure out a way to do it safely. If you decide to drop trou though, I will give you a gold star sticker.

I've had a couple questions about obstacles. The simple answer is I don't know them all yet. I'll post a few as we get closer to the match, and will post them all the Thursday night before the match. Stage 3 description will be up in a few days.

So below is a post by LC Steinel, AKA Lacey Caroline. Some of you probably know her from the few RnGs she's done, and you know how big of a badass she is. Well, she's also incredibly talented on the stage as well. Now, some of you may be wondering what this has to do with the Run For Your Life Zombie 10K. The answer to that question is simple. She's gonna be performing LIVE at Rockcastle the night before the match. So you guys should.come out and see her, I can guarantee you aren't gonna regret it. Maybe get an autograph, that way you have something to show your friends when she walks across the stage at the Grammy's.

Hey yíall!!

My #Bandtwango campaign launched today! Thereís a video on the link that explains it all, but in a nutshell, I have a brand new EP DONE and READY to be released! It sounds incredible!

The challenge I face now is finding money to do a PR and promotional campaign. I have no label backing; I pay for everything out of my own pocket from the two jobs I work, and PR is hard and a lot of money. I saved and scrimped to make sure my EP (the musicians, the producer, the studio time, the engineers, mixing, mastering) were all paid for, but now Iím struggling to find the funds to promote the cd, which can cost as much as the cd!

I put up some cool incentives for my fans and family who want to contribute and help me push my music to the next level of the game!

Anything you contribute has a cool incentive paired, and anything goes a LONG way! I love all of you, and you know Iíd never take anyone for granted or any help for granted. Please help me out if you can, and get a cool prize with it too! Thank you again SO much for everything and all of the support!!

So some of you might not know me, but just a little tidbit, I'm a Marine veteran. As such, the next "sponsor" has a special place in my heart.

Mission 22 is an organization that does a lot to raise awareness about veteran suicide. Every day 22 veterans end their own lives. Mission 22 seeks to get that number to zero. They are gonna have a booth set up at the match, so swing by and say hello. Maybe get involved in some of their great programs. In addition to having the booth, 5 dollars out of every entry is gonna be donated to help them in their mission. You can learn more on their Facebook page, or on their website.

While we're on the subject of helping out veterans, Thunderbeast Arms is sponsoring two veterans with free run slots. This is in lieu of them sending a jerseyed shooter. Tim Moore and Robert Hundley will be representing Thunderbeast Arms at the match.

Vortex Optics is a huge supporter of the Military and LEO community. They posted a pretty cool.video in honor of military appreciation month.

We have an obstacle sponsor! Gadsden Dynamics makes some pretty awesome battle belts and chest rigs. You can actually design your own chest rig right on their website, and they'll custom make it and ship it to your door. All at very reasonable prices. I use one of their Wasp Rigs and have beat the snot out of it through 4 RnGs. It's still going strong and is the most comfortable chest rig I've ever worn. Check them out on their Facebook page and website.

Stage 3 - Hunting for Sasquatch presented by Bluegrass Targets LLC.

Sasquatch is a wise and wary creature to have avoided detection for so long. You have a chance to bag one.
This stage is pretty simple. You'll get 5 shots and 2 minutes to make a single hit on a 36 inch tall Sasquatch shaped target at 500 yards.
