Primed WOLF .223 (5.56) brass - 12 cents per primed case

Made in TAIWAN

Occasionally an OH-SHIT... WHAT-A-DEAL offer comes along.

I bought a large quantity of this.
Vendor ships fast (mine arrived just a few days after order). Vendor asserts that their website inventory is "real-time," as in if its on the website, its in the warehouse.

I inspected several pieces, and I found it to be correct-spec for headspace.

One of my rifle-team buddies also bought a large quantity, and has already test-fired 50 pieces with positive result.

You barely buy once-fired brass, and primers for this price.
Here you get virgin brass with a primer already CRIMPED into place.

To my knowledge, this is the first time WOLF primed brass has appeared on the market.
From many reports I've read on the interwebz, the brass from once-fired WOLF "Gold" ammo is A-OK.

This place has primed brass (pulled down Federal cases) for a similar price. I have purchased one lot of primed brass and several lots of projectiles as well.
The prices here include shipping as well.

American Reloading

https://www.americanreloading.com/en/

The brass I bought was sold to be cut down for 300BO cases, but about 75% were good enough for 223 as well. Usually a small dent in shoulder. I only buy when they send out a coupon for 15 to 25% off!! They have other sizes of brass then 223 and 300BO as well.

Fast shipping, fair prices (hate saying cheap)!

Unless they have better prices that I am not finding, they are nearly twice as expensive as the wolf stuff, and are pull down which means they will need neck sized at the very least.

The wolf bullets for 5 cents are the best price I have seen in a long time if you are loading blasting ammo. The last case of Hornadys I bought were 8 cents.

Also their 2500 round pack of .310" tracers are calling to me.

I decided to try some of the Wolf Performance M193 bullets, assuming that they are the Taiwanese ones (they're listed with copper jackets and lead cores). At about six cents each plus shipping, it's not a great price (I usually get the Prvi M193 from Wideners for about $380/5000 (delivered) and these came to about $340/5000 (delivered)), but it's a decent price and who knows what tomorrow will bring. You know...?

Thanks for the info and link, Gary.

I said, I only buy when they have a 15 to 25% off sale

I got 125 SMK's for less then .18 each as a example.

Usually, I figure that no news is good news, but I'm happy to hear that your news was good...

25% off of twice as much is still 50% more, for stuff you still have to size.

Whatever floats your boat.

Wolf Performance is typically selling for .30 per round. .12 + .06 + powder (figure .04) turns out about saving 8 cents per round, a fair price if the labor worth 8 cents! Range pick up brass + primer is only 2 cents/rnd! The Wolf 223 bullet at 6 cent/rnd is a pretty good price.

The labor is not insignificant:
  • police spent brass
  • sort spent brass
  • store spent brass
  • tumble spent brass
  • lubricate spent brass
  • size spent brass
  • remove primer crimp in spent brass
  • trim spent brass
  • prime spent brass

I guess my attempt to provide another source of reloading supplies struck a nerve.....or sunk your boat.

Take it for what it is, or just drive on by.....don't bother me none.

This stuff went out of stock for a while.

Its back in stock in spades now.

Looks like about 14 cents per primed-case now by the time you pay shipping.

SGAmmo has the WG loaded ammo for $263/1000, plus $16 to ship to me. Excellent ammo at a price that's hard to beat.

Ammunitionstore recently had a sale on this at $255 a case, but the shipping to me from Ohio was an additional $32 or so. Shipping to you from them would be somewhat cheaper, I'm sure.

I have received quite a bit of stuff from the ammunitionstore.com over the past few years, but have switched almost exclusively to SGAmmo because they usually have the cheapest prices, their shipping cost is much cheaper to me, they ship the same day almost always, and shipping is two days to me in Colorado from Oklahoma. And a final reason has to de with packaging. The ammunitionstore just puts a shipping label and ORMD tags on the factory box. So everyone knows you just got a case of ammo delivered. And the box is usually beat up a little by UPS in shipping. Although the ammo itself isn't damaged, my OCD drives me to feel a little pissed off when the 20rd boxes inside the case are crunched up...

SGAmmo ships the original factory case inside a unmarked shipping box. It prevents damage to the 1000rd Wolf Gold ammo case within (for example), and even though the UPS driver knows what's within, every other Joe/Jane seeing it doesn't...

Just sayin'...

(And, no, I get no commission from SGAmmo, just ammo... ).

And now is the time to buy with prices at historic lows, something that can change at a drop of the hat for many reasons (politicians talking, tariffs, bans, the list goes on...)

Heck if I wasn't moving, I would buy some!

I remember the good old days when you could get once fired brass from Scharch, fully processed primed brass for like $65/1000 shipped.

Speaking of tariffs is ammo and components from China part of the products included in the new Trump/China trade war? That could change the landscape in a hurry. At least I am getting my Berdan primers from Russia at a fair price again for the moment.

I just got a case of the Wolf gold, from SGammo, last week. Was thinking about getting more, but thought that I should give it a demo first. Can't beat the price.

Tell me about the Ft Smith Berdan primers...lead free?..made where by who?

The other links? One is a Canadian seller and canít sell primers here......the other has Russian Wolf primers and Taiwanese bullets and brass. Noting from China that is or would be China tariff affected.
