WTK - Aussie L1A1 kits

Looking to pick up an Aussie kit to go with an Aussie-cut DSA receiver. Been doing some searching, but the only options I'm coming across are the kits from Sarges for $675 (new US barrel) or $863 from ARS (original barrel). Neither is matching as far as I know. Any other options floating around out there that anyone is aware of?

Sadly Sarges military surplus is closed. They are not taking orders. It's a shame

Piece one together. There are literally enough NOS parts out there (WTB ad) that you could almost put one together new. Or, buy nice used parts here and there to build one up. I know there are NOS lowers here and there, too.

Yep, that is the fall-back option.

Took me yrs to piece a NOS Aussie kit together. And in the mean time I found a all original one matching rifle. It is possible, but will take a ton of money. Things like NOS hand guards and barrels are a thing of the past. You may still find, but be prepared to break out that wallet. I sold a NOS kit for something like $1500 to a fellow member here...And I'd buy it back, with the DSA receiver I sold him...

If you are not firm on a Australian kit I have a few nice British kits, maybe you can add Australian wood if that's the look your going for? I may be able to piece together a Australian kit but I'll have to hunt thru my parts stash.

If the op's receiver is Aussie cut instead of Brit this is a good option. Outside of the receiver the parts are nearly indistinguishable but for markings. Flypaper makes new wood, add that and you'd have a new looking pseudo Aussie.
There are many ways to end up with a great looking Aussie rifle, some more mentioned above.

ETA: If you are dead set on buying a complete kit all at once, ARS is the only place I'm aware of that can do that. I believe some of his kits are refinished, also, for that new gun look. Yellowhand has probably already hit you up about wood, he works wonders and I have some examples of his work on my own rifles. Beware of ARS kits, read the add well. Sometimes there may be a mix of parts, Brit/Aussie. He always discloses this in the ad so if a 100% Aussie kit is your goal simply read the ad well to be sure you are getting what you want.

Aside from ARS, here in the MP is the most likely place you'll dig up a complete Aussie kit.

There are very few matching aussie kits out there. Whoever imported them in the past made no effort to keep the parts separated as complete matching kits at the time of demilling.

Kits pop up in the market place from time to time as well as gunbroker.

Maybe, but thanks to some help I'm well on my way. I'm not in a hurry at the moment so I'll keep my eyes open. In response to others, I do want an all-Aussie kit. My OCD will go bonkers if I know I have mismatched parts. I already have a "parts" gun, I want this a bit more authentic.

Thanks to those that replied with some help!

Does anyone know if another company is selling the US made L1A1 barrels that Sarges was selling?
