APEX Gun Parts will be at drive in space #44, same as before.
Thursday is the closest thing to "vendor day".
Friday and Saturday the show goes to 9PM with "night shooting" on both days.
Sunday is for badged shooters and vendors only, opening at 7AM (for pack up) and line going hot at 9AM.

That's the plan. Though we will be off on the side barn, not the main barn. Look for the TOOLMAN sign.

I'm always there long before APEX so I can wait and wait till they get there and go through their stuff as they unpack. Oddly, Richard isn't very chatty at that time.

We needed more tables and they werenít available in the main barn. We have loads of FAL, Browning, Bren, and MG34/42 stuff. Plus The FN FAL Primer available. It was getting too crowded where we were- good selling but our tables were always swamped.

Do you know who used to be in the spot you are being moved to?
I heard there was an opening, but not who isn't going to show up now.
We tried to get 2 adjoining drive in spaces, like last time, but it could not be done.
That one spot REALLY limits what we can bring.

During set-up I am very focused on getting everything out and displayed properly. I tend to not be very social when I have a task to get done, and its also the time when you "discover" what you didn't bring or have other problems. All of which I am responsible for. So, I am usually not in the best mood during that set up time.

Richard

Understandable Richard, it was a friendly jibe. We can never just set up, we are besieged from the moment we pull up.

In reality KCR is the place to buy, not sell. I’d do better bringing nothing and just buying. But having a table is the way to catch up with other enthusiasts, and it’s great to see the joy on a face when some nifty item travels from my collection to their hand.

Then there was the young guy who’d purchased a ratty FAL kit with incorrect and missing parts. He was sent to see me. I did what I could and then I and a couple other FILES members walked him to Sarco and Apex and to Mark and set him up with what he needed at rock bottom prices. It really touched my heart to see how the community jumped in to help this guy.

Just yesterday I reached out to a guy I know from KCR who it was rumored had an unobtainium part I need. He said he had one and would bring it to KCR and GIVE it to me. Wow.

I usually try to have some small trinkets I can sell cheap or give to kids. Toolman is the pusher, he gives kids all sorts of stuff. It’s a great meeting of wonderful people. It’s my safe place, albeit loud.

I'll be at table 14, in the side barn, directly across the parking lot from Dolf's table. We should have a big TOOLMAN banner hanging outside.

Love to meet and re-greet other FAL FILES members!

I will be in the area with a few friends. We rented a cabin and will hit the mountain bike trails in the area during the week, and then swing through Knob Creek before heading back home. I look forward for to meeting some Files members face to face for the first time, and hopefully catch up with a friend or two from down south.

If I sold one kit- restored Cuban or BGS which should it be?

Iíll bring a load of FAL stuff maybe a type B bayonet. And a UM bayonet. Furniture? Manuals? Real oddball collectible FAL stuff doesnít seem to sell well at KCR. May bring MG42 BNZ kit too. And BRENs?

Sounds good. I may bring a few items that you will get a kick out of.

We are basically swinging through to check out the gun show and a little $$$. Hanging around Bubbaís and armchair commandos as they fire select fire weapons doesnít excite me.... navigating around these types at the public DNR range is sketchy enough!

I'm thinking of bringing some FALs to sell at KCR. Not sure if I should, that's a lot to drag along if they're only going to be fingered.

Roughly, L1A1 on Entreprise forged $1600, matching numbers FMAP SAC $2200, G series clone w/ "Libyan" stock on early DSA $2200, etc.

Do you think it's worth the trouble? I don't see many firearms for sale at KCR, and I think that's because everyone is looking for parts.

You going to be there Friday? Stopped by your table on Friday during the October show and your minions said that you were catching a flight or something like that. Wanted to show you some NOS FN para parts with no SNs I have and was curious about.

I'm pretty much packed up. Clearing out all of the source material used for The FN FAL Primer- handguards, stocks, bayonets. Lots and lots.

MG42 kits, BREN kits, Vickers kits and parts.

OK I can leave now. Still barely set up and got the one item I wanted. But cant convince the guys to pack up and go home so I guess I have to stay and sell all my stuff.

Did bring an unfired CWA M2HB if anyone is looking.

Glen I have complete M53 kits, BNZ MG42, MG34, BREN mk 1, 2, 3, Lithgow Vickers. Toolman has M14, USGI 1919a4, 1917a1.

Great to see Adam again and finally meet embatp.

Apex has a few Izzy kits one of them has a type A lower.

Sarco has a very few Chilean kits. The one on the table looked very good. I should have bought it but I donít need another bloody kit. Only other kit I saw was an 50.00 FN that looks like a typical Imbel.

Traded my indian L1 rear sight for a new metric one and some parts with the DSA guys. Got some linked Malaysian 7,62 in cans w/tracers. Some 223 blasting fodder. Some 30 carbine surplus fodder. Very light attendance. KCR did a lot more work on the grounds around the barns. My son got some more brit DPM blouses , a alice pack frame with all the attachments, spare parts for his ciener/cmmg 22 subcal kit. He fondled the DSA gys FAL paras...he thinks he has to have one now.

Very busy show for me. Surprised I came home with the best FN stock I brought.

Century told me that they are again focusing on kit imports after realizing domestic production isnít as lucrative as it is on paper. Great news.

MG34 and 42 stuff is hot. 1919 slowed due to low availability of receiver boxes. Shocked that Sarco took home some Chilean kits!

Best part is the cameraderie and atmosphere. Great to meet so many FILES guys!

Probably not. Been asking for 10 years now.

Just come down here and see it yourself. Let me know how I can help facilitate.

It is worth the trip!

Nobody has time to take photos. Itís four 13 hour days of buy and sell. Really if youve not been there itís impossible to comprehend. Prices are so low I buy stuff from other dealers and flip it. One dealer I know shows up with virtually nothing then runs around buying to fill his table and you bet he sells it.

Ammo? Loads of it at prices way lower than the best online prices.

Somebody told me guys shoot there too but I never have.
