Another option is to "hide" it on the back seat in plain view

Besides that, the Tommy drum is difficult to insert under pressure

My grand daughter when last here wanted a "gun".
The boys had all got theirs already.
Being me, I just tossed the keys to a few gun safes to her and said go pick one.

About 20 minutes later, she came back in dragging my former Thompson behind her.

Like these ideas. My thought is to keep it back in the tire well until the situation arises. Also, thinking of using an AK underfolder. I think this is a very legit thread the times we live in are getting pretty unusual.

I don't have a truck, but I do have a trunk. If I am going more than about 100 miles from home in my own vehicle, I usually carry an old Stag (lower) mated to one of the PSA "Premium" uppers w/carbine gas and a 14.7" CHF barrel that they sold several years ago. It isn't a thing of beauty, nor do I like it as much as a BCM or Colt, but it is reliable. And if I lost it to theft or an overzealous LEO, I would be a LITTLE less pissed than if I lost a BCM or Colt. I always keep a set of likely spare parts for an AR in the car, along with about 200 rounds loaded into mags. That way, all I have to do is just throw the rifle in when I am going out of town.

Don't really know where to put mine where it wouldn't be found easy but for pistols there is always this.

Since I remove airbags from my trucks will have to leverage the airbag drawer. Have quite a few hard guitar cases but mine are all well traveled with more anti establishment stickers. No peacefreak stuff. An especially good case to look for is electronic keyboard hard case. They will generally hold a long tactical turn bolt and battle rifle. When travelling and have long hair like me carrying a keyboard and guitar case in hotel gets zero attention. Whenever carry a pair of prairie dog rifles out West the keyboard case is critical.

My truck gun is a WASR 10 with a Romy wire folder. Also carry 5 30 round mags of soft points with a shoulder bag. It’s always in the truck.

Gave away my fighting knife collection to relatives, friends and their kids as deploy into an active combat zone. Wife thought it was a nice gesture till ran out and had some more about to deploy. She did not know all those knives I was giving away cost us $400 a throw.

Now am giving away AR's to select youngsters on promise not to sell. If get in pinch for money I will buy them back for whatever they are offered to keep in family. Not had to buy one yet but sure it will eventually come up where I buy a gun I gave away. Told them to bring me a written offer on gun shop letterhead or reciept and will give them same amount in cash.

Mom has taken close to a dozen in past few years and I don't ask what she is doing with them. She asks for rifle, ten mags and 1,000 rounds of ammo per unit. My guess is she is stashing them in a vault with names of who they go to although most have probably already been given an Uncle Huey rifle if over 35. Ones under 35 will get when hit age I can judge responsible enough or from estate when I fail to reset when have an apnea event some night.

Proud yesterday to see how many people on Mom's side of family at Christmas party yesterday had truck rifles. Even a SIG MCX Rattler with suppressor behind one truck seat and three people in armor.

Yep, giving away my firearms collection as well, to kids/young adults, can't think of a better way to spread the shooting sports, one smile at a time.

Not a rifle used but a few miles from Stimpsonjcat's place an LEO was under attack and perp had both hands on officers gun trying to remove from holster. (Why I use a Level 1 autolock security holster concealed and Level 3 locking holster when carry open) Female driving by saw the event happening, stopped fired one warning shot and perp did not comply with her command to stop so she put two rounds into the perp. A second passers-by (male) then pulled perp off cop and sat on him till additional officers showed up.

Have caught flack her when mentioned this but if see a friend or cop I know on a solo stop of shady looking characters usually stop in sight and wait for them to finish or backup to arrive. It's actually not uncommon around here. Last attempted burglary at work when S.O. showed up one of the officers saw my truck and recognized it as the truck that stops when sees cops alone with a car load of odd characters. Thanked me, told a younger officer about it not being uncommon for certain community men to do the same and the older guys recognize many.

Had it not been for civilian with truck rifle perp in Texas church shooting would have gotten away. If I have to imtervene, been carrying 40 years and never unholstered a gun yet, hope it stays that way. Not going to let someone go down or group if able to intercede. Warms my heart to see how many carry truck rifles. My guess is most that do if saw an LEO about to get killed on side of road would step up like lady did on Hwy 400 yesterday. Did a Google search on citizens protecting or saving cops and it happens more often than even I expected.

Guess that's part of why we have such liberal carry laws in Georgia now. It's almost anything goes, I went in and bought my tags then went back to courthouse annex to pay property taxes open carry and officer at desk just said hello very politely. Can't hardly go in local grocery without seeing other open carry and recently counted five people carrying open at same time. In Atlanta getting load of batteries (Airport fiasco has everyone having backups serviced) and suppressed 6.8 in front seat and matching unit in lock behind seat.

That thing actually fire? My brother had one and it had huge issues with the trigger bar. Pretty much never worked right (like most keltec products).

Am I the only one here who carries a FAL? Sits behind the seat in a Tacoma. Its topped with a Aim Point .
Got more FRNs tied up in the red dot and dsa mount than the gun. Tapco G1 cut down to size.
In town the Celicia has a Sar 3 in a Fender soft case. Ammo depends on time of day and climate/neighborhood.

I sometimes through one of my FALs in the truck for a road trip. Usually, it's the XCR that stays with me.
