Is this lower Rhodesian?

I recently came across this lower. the Right side is lightly stamped RA 4713
and the left side Axxx. Would RA be Rhodesian Army? Who would the actual maker be? I would have a picture here if I knew how to do that

The proof marks on the top will tell you if they are South African some Za stuff is Imbel while some is South African and some are from every where if South African it should have a P on the top in front of the original serial number. If you want to post some pictures I should be able to tell you what it is.

ZA is for Zimbabwe Army not South African. Rhodesia became Zimbabwe and parts and weapons started to get marked with ZA.

ZA for zim army?? Are you sure about that? Mugabe surplused out their fals?? the suffix extension for South Africas internet is za. I wonder when these may have been released and what were they replaced with, AK's? The country was in such disarray in the early years and only got worse that I would not imagine their armorers marking anything in a systematic manner. Anyone know about this?

There is a lot of confusion on ZA I too thought it meant South Africa but people from AS have said AS meant Zimbabwe Army.

More than you may have ever wanted to know about "who" is actually ZA.
