Sig 365 issues?

Been toying with the notion to at least go look at the new Sig 365 sub-compact in 9mm. Local dealer recently got six in. Then a friend told me about some reliability issues some were experiencing, like the striker breaking and excessive wear.

Anyone familiar with these issues, and have they been cleared up by Sig? I currently carry a G43 and am happy with it. But the extra rounds in the Sig is attractive although not the cost of extra Sig mags!

Wow! I guess I asked either the wrong question or asked it in the wrong place.

OK, so I went and looked at your Sig 365 and found it suks!

One or two things that suk.

1, It's made of plastic.
2, Only hold 10 rounds
3, Its striker fired
4, It has no hammer
5, It has no safety
6, It wears fast.........best not shoot it much.
7, The striker breaks.....order spares?
8, It fails to go into battery often.....might need "forward assist"?
9, Really short barrel.
10, Somewhat ugly.
11. etc, etc

What you need is a CZ 75 Compact!

OK, it does look like a very compact shooter for lightweight social occasions. It does seem that Sig pushed this baby out of the womb before it was fully developed. Think I would wait for the dash 2 version.

Had a recent conversation with an ex Leo of 47 years who now works at a LGS. He is or was also a competition shooter so has some expertize in the field. He stated that he would not own any new composite Sig due to reliability issues with the ones sold and returned for repairs.

Not a Sig basher, loved my P229, but so did my favorite daughter.

A lot of good info at this web site. This thread that I have attached is interesting. Also on this site is conversation concerning broken firing pins for the p365.

Thanks, guys. Pretty much confirms what I was told. My friend did buy one and just got it yesterday. Heading for the range tomorrow.

Guess I'll stick with my G43 even though most of what Mainer listed applies except for the breakage. Always did like the CZs, however.

Edit: Sent the Sig board link to my friend so he will recognize any issues early on.

Well,

I got one waiting for me at the LGS wont pick it up once it gets on the Maryland approved roster. Got rid of my G43 for a Kahr and will probably ditch the Kahr after I pick up the P365. Cant wait.

Stick with the Glock. Rock simple design that just plain works. SIG’s track record on new cool designs that fail and get tweaked while leaving the gen1 buyers in the dust is classic.....

My friend picked his up and has put a little over 400 rounds through it of various brands without FTF and no sign of wear. He's happy with his so far.

The LGS here that got six 365s in sold all six the first day.

I'll wait and see what the track record is. In the meantime, I'm happy with my G43.
