Commercial mags and L1A1(in 2019)?

Hello!

I have been thinking of trying some non surplus mags in my ( early century) L1A1 and I wanted to ask you good folks which should I buy and which I should ignore?

I have heard good thing about the Moses mags in use, as well as a shipping issue some time ago, but they look appealing. Apparently Thermold makes an FAL mag and I have heard both good and bad, but I am unsure.
And I am seeing what looks like a new made steel mag from a "red White and Blue"??? Those worry me as I am not finding any real information on these.

I know DSA made mags but last time I checked they where out of stock and never seemed to restock them.
So in short, what magazines do you recommend, aside from surplus, if any?
Thanks and God bless you all reading this.

My apologies! Its an early CAI L1A1 that only takes metric mags. Its one of those Yellow "made in Canada" marked receiver'd rifles. Runs very well but I wish they hadn't lopped the flash hider off.

Everyone is going to have their own opinion on what mags work best for them, and they are all right.

Im a Mag head ( maybe because northern Idaho people are peppers by heart ) So I've got close to 100 mags stocked away. DSA, Izzy, Austrian, Moses, even some old thermold.

For what Ive seen the best deal out there is from Arizona response systems.
He has a ten mag package deal that is pretty good. The mags are the best functioning Ive seen in a while.
Their website is down at the moment but check back in them.
Im sure someone else will chime in, but there is another company out there that has some pretty good deals too, I just cant remember them. You have to seen them proof of age though...

+1 for ARS

The Moses Mags are coming through DS Arms these days and they've been pretty good about shipping. The mags themselves run fine, but I would not say its a marked improvement over the surplus ones. Good for 922r parts count if that's a concern though.

Nonetheless you disgust me, and I take comfort in the knowledge that your obituary will be nowhere near as humorous as mine.

The next time I hear "THE RANGE IS NOW HOT", it just wont be the same.

Max tried another question. "What sort of people live about here?"
"In THAT direction," the Jin said, waving its right paw round, "lives a Han: And in THAT direction," waving the other paw, "lives a Ming Hare. Visit either you like: they're both mad."
"But I don't want to go among mad people," Max remarked.
"Oh, you can't help that," said the Jin: "we're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad."
"How do you know I'm mad?" said Max.
"You must be," said the Jin, "or you wouldn't have come here."

My Moses from DS came in less than a week - work perfect with no fitting required.

With all due respect: I beg your pardon? What kind of epoxy will actually hold the thing on? Aren't these flash hiders typically threaded on somehow? I could see Silver solder, maybe, but epoxy? I feel like this is a newbie joke, like snipe hunting or finding a box of grid sqaures and chem light batteries..
