High power refinished

I have had this surplus parts gun for awhile and never really liked the finish on it
so i had Mark at ARS (aka gunplumber) refinish it for me, i had it done in Metcol black on the slide and controls and Metcol Gray on the frame, i really like how it turned out!

After

Not only are the Spegels great looking, they make the HP feel even better in your hands - they get rid of the boxy edges.

Brownell's used to sell thin Micarta grips for the P35 about 15 years ago. I like how they slimmed down the grip.

Nice looking Hi-Power.

Very nicely finished! Picked up a set of rose colored wood grips from VZ grips for my HP, slimmed down the grip with a classic look. Cheers!

CZ Custom has what looks like a nice set of wood, although I've never handled any.

Craig Spegels stuff is top notch, although you have a bit of a wait after ordering.

Too dark - I mix it to match Manganese Phosphate Parkerizing

I do have two shades of blue-gray I've been playing with for the Vz 58 and for the old SACO import HKs, but it isn't quite right. I also have a gull gray that's too light. Not really enough demand to pursue at this time.
