I want an accurate example of the rifle built on a correct looking RTG flat. I have the flat and a kit, just not the $1500 Ghilliebear wants to build it.

Me too, but my wants always seems to out weigh my wallet!

I've owned, built, and shot both a lot. I find nothing wrong with HK G3/91/PTR91 ergonomics. I've never figured out what that was all about. They are good rifles. Never had a malfunction so far with my newest PTR91. It's accurate and reliable and very well built.

The same can be said for my former StG.58. Both styles are great rifles. If you don't like one or the other, don't buy one.

The only difference to me is that I think the recoil feels different and slightly less with the roller locked delayed blowback actions.
