LaC, beautiful!! How about a picture of the right side of the receiver (I have talked to Coonan and plan to order a custom s/n soon)? What finish did you use? Thanks.

HPK, I added the requested pics to the above post, the finish I used was Dura Coat H&K Black. I really like this finish as it is NOT too glossy and well as NOT too FLAT, sounds strange but it actually looks MORE BLACK! It really does make an awesome finish!

THANKS!

Anyone keeping up with this thread? If so I may add a few more part numbers although I don't think it actually helps the reason of the thread as MOST of my G1's and BGS` (with the exception of the BGS barrels....) are all matching already......

Great idea to do this. I hope Chad is still updating.

I didn't realize these were BGS marked until I got looking more closely after seeing this thread. I have had these kits for over 10 years. I will get more numbers as I get them cleaned. I traded one of the kits that was part of this batch to member Tom Doniphon so I am curious if that one is BGS Marked too.

.

Barrel #31953 BGS Marked
Bolt #71246 BGS Marked
Carrier #71246 BGS Marked
Lower #36274

Barrel #48679 BGS Marked Edited to add BGS as I looked closer at this barrel.
Bolt #87809 BGS Marked
Carrier #87809 BGS Marked
Lower #20266

Bolt #44050 BGS Marked
Carrier #44050 BGS Marked

It looks like an Eagle with it's wings extended yet pointing down. The "Federal Eagle". Here's a BGS stamp for clarity.

Can one of you fellas with a BGS marked lower please post a photo of it and the marking on this thread? I am somewhat surprised that all 4 of the G1 kits I have from the same source have BGS marked barrels, carriers, bolts, etc., but not lowers. I just want to be sure I am looking in the right place.
Thanks!

For the guys posting SN's of non-BGS marked bolts/carriers:

Are you also checking the date proof/stamp?

It's possible to have a bolt or carrier that looks like a G1 bolt/carrier but the date proof does not correlate with the G1 contract.
