I a blurry form of logic would specify that baked snack crackers are a “natural complimentary dish” to sloppy joe

Well at least it has salt and potassium. Probably won’t make up for the fluids you’ll lose if you use it to make homemade Pruno in an ammo can.

Alright, seriously.

The sloppy joe wasn’t bad. Tasted just the same as the stuff made with the mix from the grocery store. Maybe a little odd on the wheat snack bread, since the wheat snack bread isn’t exactly a fresh poppyseed Kaiser butter bun.

The crackers were exactly like the Cheez-Its from the grocery store. That cheese splarp is pretty dense. You can basically forget about cutting any cheese if you eat that stuff. But, it really doesn’t taste bad. I think next time I might nuke it in the microwave to soften it some, then dip the crackers in the softened cheese.

The shortbread cookies were unexpectedly good. These were fresh, buttery, and with good texture. I don’t normally dig shortbread cookies. I think I have bad memories of shortbread cookies as the last-to-be-eaten cookies at family get-togethers where the bigger kids already bogarted-up the chocolate chip cookies and the brownies. Plus the shortbread cookies were always the offering of some elderly aunt who had long-since lost her sense of taste and smell, as well as much of her eyesight, and who did all cooking from recipes she “remembered.” Auntie, how come these cookies taste like corn meal and salt?

Not too bad but the sloppy joes invarably give me heartburn--carry Tums. Lots of fat in those meals. Milkshake is 500 cals.

I hope you had some salt to add - no sense in failing to get 200% mdr per meal.

W.E.G., I don’t know what you do for a living, but whatever it is, you ought to quit that crap and start writing for someone like Letterman or Leno. This thread has some of the funniest stuff I’ve read in months!

And, ironically, the info here is terrific, too. Much appreciated!

W.E.G, If you don't stop eatin' so many of those things your gonna' be dragging your colon on the ground. Colon's do not enjoy this sort of treatment.

113% of sodium intake, daily, from one meal. of course not including the cheese spread and drink mix (with electrolytes, in case the GIs are running low on salt ). i would guess all in all thats 150% of sodium in one meal, if you can actually eat it all.

I would not want to be W.E.G.'s proctologist. Sure, you'd be making a pile of money, but at what price?

Just not worth it.

My proctologist is the only one I've ever know who uses anti-sieze on his examination scope.

I comp'd him a set of Nomex coveralls.
