After the assistance I have received from James, I feel that I would be doing something wrong if I did not share my experience with all the FAL Files members. There has been some problems noted here in reviews, and I would like to share my very "POSSITIVE" experience.
I first contacted GPG about 5 mo ago I think concerning my desire to build a mix and match FAL for a beater. I did not know what I wanted exactly and asked a lot of questions over many weeks and a number of E-mails to GPG. Never once did he "NOT" respond and answer all my silly questions completly.
What I finally decided to do was to go with an "INCH" Kit. I did not want to go the route of a completly "RE-finished" kit because I like the rifle to have some history if you know what I mean. Anyway we talked on the computer some more and even on the phone. Decided on the component choices and made a deal.
Then I threw him a curve and asked if he would help facilitate a Christmas present to Me from my Wife. You see my Wife likes to have some ideas of things I want, so I give her a list. Usually containg very cool things that I would like to have but may not spend the money on right now. Well the "INCH" kit was on my list and just in case my Wife decided to get it I gave James a heads up. I pre-paid some of the $$ so my Wife would not shy away from the price since she really does not know what she is buying?
Well James came through with flying colors!! The kit is more than I could have hoped for. The Barrel is amazing, with a very bright shiney bore with great lands, and grooves. Muzzle devise is in place as well as gas system. Bolt and Bolt Carrier are the "Brand New Aussie" that he is selling and they are way too cool. Man just opening those little boxes was really nice. The lower is great and since I now nothing about "INCH" markings I won't mention them but it is really very nice. Charging handle looks to be re-finished and in excellent condition. Gas piston and spring look barely used, and the furniture although I am not sure were it's from looks to be "new". All small parts are there and in very nice shape.
Now this kit was always discussed as a "parts" kit meaning that I would get a stripped lower and a "BUNCH" of parts. Well that's not what happened. Maybe my Wife sweet talked him or maybe (and I suspect) that James went out of his way again and assembled the entire thing!!
I can't say enough about how my Wife and I for that matter were treated and I wanted to take a minute and let everyone know.
James (AKA Gun Parts Guy) is a class act. And Sir I thank you again for your help.

I' ve been very satisfied with the parts I bought and traded for from James. He is "Well Recomended" in my opinion.

James sets the standards for customer service. He has invariably been a pleasure to deal with - I simply cannot say enough good things about the way I have been treated, and I have been spoiled by excellent treatment in general in dealing with the folks on this board.

James is a Top Knotch Guy, He deserves the praises we all have been singing. Can't do business with anyone or company with the ease and fast shipping of James. He's awesome, and cannot be beat.
